By the way, I pop advils (Ibuprofen) like they are tic tacs sometimes and I read about how that thins your blood or something like that which isn't good if you're going into a session or afterwords. Is that a big deal or am I reading to much into it folks?

[/QUOTE]

Well I got told on one of the sessions for my last tatt(I'll post a pic when I can dig one up) that I have thin blood. I dunno, I only take Ibuprofen or Paracetamol when needed. I put it down to booze to be honest as it was a heavier night then normal, I get all excited the day before getting inked so a few brews helps calm the nerves.
I don't think it was a problem but I guess it was noticeable enough for it to be mentioned.

edit:Quote fail: RedhatPat that was your quote.

Wait hold up, you're a grown ... man, eating pizza, and watching spongebob, all the meanwhile getting inked up for the better part of a day. Are you sure ya'll were just smoking cigarettes?

ETA: I don't drink or do drugs, nor am I under any medication. Just advils from time to time.

Yup, spongebob is awesome, lol... I guess it's partially because my friend who was watching my daughter stopped by, so we all sat in the lounge and hung out for a bit, lol.

Advil shouldn't be a problem, aspirin thins your blood though and might make for a messy tattoo session.

Lots of people assume the Atheist symbol is an Anarchy one. I get that a lot myself. I'm getting a similar tattoo on my inner right forearm... but with the Humanist symbol too.

It will be the session after my coloring session on Oct 10th. Most likely in December.

Fwiw: I'm a Secular Humanist and open about it... I've lost a few friends over my beliefs.

I'll have to check it out... I like that dude in "The Bridge" this past summer. I also can identify with that clip some... I had my punk phase in the late 80s/early 90s. Caught some good shows in NYC during that era.

Here's some more

Freehand half sleeve... the phoenix was a free tat I got for doing some work at a shop... I hate it, lol. I went to a guy in Cali and told him to do something to make it better, so he did. I was kinda nervous letting someone freehand a tattoo on me, but excited at the same time.

My CVMA "death skull"... decided I wanted a little more depth than what what our patch shows, I thought it came out alright. It definitely needs a touchip, but as i stated earlier, this is the most painful spot I've been tattooed, lol.

y3usugy2.jpg

Just cuz, for visual reference, this entire area is stupid sensitive, lol.

I was kinda nervous letting someone freehand a tattoo on me, but excited at the same time.

I can totally relate to that.
I spent close to 3 hours getting freestyled on before the tat machine was even touched.
I got the Oni tat around 25 years ago. Some believed Oni to be an evil demon while others, along with myself, believed that he was more of a protective entity, like the Gargoyle. Got tired of people asking me why I had the devil tattoo over the years.
I had been wanting an octopus for many years and finally decided that maybe I should go ahead and do it. It took a very long time to get around to it since I have seen a few bad octo-tats. My tat artist knew exactly what he was looking at and convinced me to let him integrate Oni and the octopus somehow. Nobody ever asks about Oni anymore.
After 3 hours, I had so much orange marker on my arm, I could't really make heads or tails out of it.
The wife was being inked by a different artist on the same night and told me she could clearly tell what it was. OK.... if you say so.
Here is the result. The tat wanders onto my back so can't get the whole thing with one camera shot. Eventually I will get back and have him do some more shading. It looked especially good to me when my skin was still red and irritated after completion. That is how I want it to look all the time and it should be a pretty easy request to relay to the artist.

Welcome cdf, good people here you'll see. Respect the ink, brother. And ouch!

Thanks RedhatPat.

There certainly seems to be something for everyone on the ECF.
The wife found it hard to believe that I was browsing through tats on the ecig forum.
Definitely finding this to be a great group to hang with.

I was in ur camp, until I finally found the mods and juices that fit all my needs and most importantly; that I can live with. So thats when ECF started turning more social on me and trying to help others along the way if I got something to contribute.

The official cheerleader or DJ around here is beckyblues but she's MIa right now with RL stuff so I almost feel like I'm filling her shoes in this thread. My apologies for going offtopic folks.

I've been on these forums for 3 years and still barely hang here. I have been using the same mods/attys/juice for over 2 years so I have little reason to research stuff any more.

I've found a few threads here in OT that have been bringing me back day to day.

That said.... only 20 more days till my color session.... I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!! :toast:

24 * 10 is 240 hours * 2 is only 480 hrs to go James! Easy breezy, just watch the movie "SLC Punk" about a million times in a row and time will blow right by

Or look at it like this, you have up to 480 hours to tell us your vaping story Mr Hart because afterall brother, you're where a large portion of ECFers want to be.

So let's make a deal folks, atleast until we have more ink coming ::looking in cdf294's direction::

If you tell me yours I'll tell you mine :)

HA! You asked...

the basics: I'm 45, started smoking @ 12 (same year I started playing bass). Quit a few times, always came back to smoking... maintained @ between 1/2 a pack and a pack a day, usually Winston Light 100s.

the switch: While working in the NOC at an international VoIP service provider (you've seen the commercials), a few people were switching and I started researching. I ended up with Vapor4life.... couple XL manual KR808 stick batteries.

I had less than 1/2 a pack when my vapemail landed... I vape + smoke the whole first day, saved one cig for the morning of day 2. Haven't had a smoke since. About 3 months in I knew I wanted a mod, I don't like the the typical eGo / Screwdriver style so I tracked down some "top button" mods. I ended up with a pair of madvapes "Mini Vapestacks" used from the forums here because they NEVER had anything in stock back then.
http://myselfalone.com/images/vaping/2010-09-29-mini_vapestack04.jpg

Xmas 2010 I discovered GLV and ordered my orange one. There was a problem with the powder and they had to redo it (before shipping it to me... THEY weren't happy with it), then the supplier was backordered, and I got offered a deal on my second one.

I got them Feb 2nd 2011, sold off all my other mods and haven't used anything else since
http://myselfalone.com/images/vaping/2011-02-02_glv-03.jpg

Spring of 2011 I realized dripping on a LR901 with a drip shield on it was just about as perfect as I could want... so since about August 2011 I have been exclusively using Cisco's bridgless LR901, Empiremods drip shields, and 100% VG Organic Sweet Cinnamon from Sweet-Vapes. I was using Cherryvapes Ming tips, but I stopped using acrylic a couple weeks ago and haven't ordered my new metal ones from them yet.
