they're acrylic pen blanks like these:
Buy Acrylic Pen Blank, Purple Haze at Woodcraft.com (which is the one I used for these)
and then since I lack a proper lathe I cut them to length (get 4 +1 shortie per blank)...and chuck them in a drill...and then lock the drill on and work them like on a lathe (with files and a dremmel with high speed cutters)
Dam! Talk about improvising.
I have another forum that had some guys who used wooden pen blanks. They made some really unique writing utensil with them.
I wonder if the same could be done for tips?
If one was talented enough I suppose the wood could be carved for different contours/shapes?

yeah when I saw thetwisted tips from the one vendor I thought of the acrylic blanks and put 2 and 2 together....several of them are identical patterns...
and you turn them the same so the wood blanks should work just as well....in theory....I imagine the heat and the dampness of the wood it'd soak up the juice and or split...
Oh yeah. I was just thinking about some posts about people wishing they had the duck bill tips for dripping.
These are what I've been toying around with the last few weeks. The batt covers (more like a thin sleeve) I make for myself, they'll fit a 510, 4081, or 801 (a little short) autos only. Don't tell Missy, but hers is the black one and in the mail.......

Thanks all..I must say my family and friend don't have to buy soap anymore...lol..I dabble a little in body powder, lip balms, and I make a great Goatmilk cream....
