Just a thought here for folks that are having issues taking the switch ...'y apart. You could drill a small (smaller than you would need to tap threads) and gently drive a small nail (finishing nail maybe) into the hole. Then you would at least have something more to hang onto with pliers when trying to turn the bottom button. Then mod as usual.

I was one of the lucky ones. Mine came right apart but I have another #19 coming from Exhale next week so I may be in the same boat as some of you then.

I think I read somewhere on here, someone tried doing that and cracked the magnet.

I have another magnet that is a little too big for that cup. I've never tried sanding/shaping a magnet - so I'm not sure I'll be able to utilize it.

The magnet was the first thing to go on my current #19:D I have a brass screw on the button and brass up top. Hits like a champ every time.

Between the 2 #19's and my EH Pro (EA Clone), I think I can stop buying for a while..........Yeah Right!

Another sigelei 19 wobble fix - Red Cross Style.

I like Minimalsaint's wobble fix with the washer. I took apart my magnetic modded switch put a custom plastic washer in and then realized that I did not have enough space to fit the magnets back in..

No worries, went to plan "B" - just took a couple strips of PTFE tape....wrapped the head of the pin that goes in the delrin cup and then wrapped the pole that goes inside the delrin hole. Both were wrapped with enough tape to be tight, but still have smooth movement with a bit of pressure.

Easy peasy... Now I need to go find an anvil and some brass to hammer out a slug for the top of the brass post. :)

I got my #19B with Nzonic cap yesterday, as well as a UGO-L (my first MOD and first rebuildable).

I dove right in and started modding. Drilled out the UGO-L to 1/16th so it's closer to my Kanger Pro in draw.
Ground down the Nzonic so my atomizers will sit flush (without even scuffing the Nzonic sun)
Being a dumb-... and thinking the brass spring on the Nzonic was what was making the firing button so difficult to push I annealed it. I realized my mistake after I got to the button just a few moments ago.

I had no problem disassembling the firing button. I simply cut a slot into the magnet, which heated up and loosened the glue, then I used a slotted screw driver to unscrew the brass/magnet combo. Then I used a metal punch to chip the magnet out (you know they are brittle right?), then I found my "brass button" of choice to fill the hole. A vintage 9mm that I cut the head off of. Happens to fit the magnet slot perfectly. I just need to grind it a little flatter and it simply press fits right in.

So, I notice it fires and vapes a slight percentage better. I think from this point I just need to work on making world class coils and I'll be rockin the vapor! (my first coil works, but I'm sure this could be much better)

Very nice! Great idea using the casing for your brass- that is bad a** custom right there!

Nice! Did you make the paracord sling and vert grip basket?

Ok - so back to the topic. I decided to do what most are doing and cut a slot in the magnet...and I did it without cutting the delrin :)
I was able to use a flat head screw driver and removed the button.
But that magnet would not come out. I started chipping away at it, when I thought about spacing the throw under the center pin.
So instead of digging the magnet out I flattened it and smoothed it out.
Then stuck a couple delrin washers on the top side of the post under the cup.
I still haven't modded or replaced the spring. It's a little stiff, but since my throw is so short now I kinda like the safety the stiffer spring affords - it won't fire standing with it's own weight; it's still easy enough to depress with my pinky.
I did have to shave the top of the delrin since I shaved down the magnet.
Of course I took some pics too:

Assembled

Locked (which I hate btw. wish it was reverse threaded - so I don't use it)

Free standing unlocked

Sorry, pics taken on my desk - bad lighting.

I just got my 19b yesterday and I love it. Interestingly, my experiences are completely opposite from most of you. Instead of removing the magnet and decreasing the throw, I actually LOVE the magnet and long throw.

Here's what I did. I softened the spring with a torch and now the button is like butter, so easy to push!! The magnet actually helps the button travel without the tension increasing because of the spring compression. The magnet sort of helps it the last quarter of the way by snapping to the battery. It also ensures it fires every time. I've had zero misfires since I completed this mod. I think this was the original intent of the magnet design, but they used a spring that's way too stiff. The key is to get the spring just right. Not too stiff, but not too soft to where the magnet keeps the button stuck to the battery. Mine can sit on the button with 18650 and RSST and won't fire, but just barely.

I did remove the top spring which was horrible and was actually carving holes in my batteries. works much better without it. I'll have to use a different screw with a bigger head because it currently does not make contact in 18350 mode.

Other than the above, I've made no modifications and I absolutely love it. It fires every time and the button action is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Hope someone else can try this and have the same success.

That's awesome! As long as you vape happy, anything you use is the perfect mod!

It's late here in VA but I'm still playing :)
I was looking through my drawers -o- parts and happened to find another spring that was the exact same size and shape as the stock spring. So I decided to mod it and see what would happen. I didn't want to f-up the stock spring - I like to have back ups.
Anyhoo...
This other spring was a wee bit stiffer. I cut off 2 coils, annealed it and stretched it. Still shorter than the stock spring.
The throw is much easier. Still doesn't fire when free standing. Fires anywhere I touch the button. No miss fires. No failure to fire.
No wobble. Me likey :)

Now I've already forgotten what the stock throw is like.

I don't think I'll bother with all this with my 19E (if Vaportek ever gets their s_t straight and sends it to me).

At least leave it stock for a little while to compare.

Oh BTW. @ CrazyIvan - which spring did you soften? The switch or the top?

...

Yes, I made the slings & the grip for the vertical...I make all kinds of paracord stuff. I have far-too many hobbies...can't stop from modding everything I get into; cars, motorcycles, guns, Vaping gear, etc, etc.... It's a disease :)

(BTW...I liked you AR-themed work surface in the pictures... got a few of them too :D )

Ive been playing with mine and i had to notch the magnet and use a Flathead with vise to undo it. I shortened the throw with a o ring and had to sand my button magnet down a bit as it wasn't glued in flat, but i do like the magnet assist in the button. After flattening it i was getting some misfires and i sanded both contacts of my spring down and that helped the fluctuating voltage.
