Mine bounces a little while sitting as well. A few hundredths at a time. Hasn't affected function at this point. But as I mentioned in another thread, I did get a weird battery imbalance error when I first threw the batteries in and I believe Rice had the same issue. Could all be part of the same issue/non-issue.

Yup indeed I did. Battery balance warning. The 2 were about 1V apart according to the mod. Swapped positions for the batteries and it went back to normal.

Batteries were new LG HG2s.

First time posting... with that said, i picked up a Sig 213 yesterday. After about 5 minutes into using it on wattage/power mode, i noticed that the ohm/coil resistance was jumping from .25 to .33/.34 after every hit. If i wait a few seconds and tap the fire button, it starts going back down eventually back to .25. I'm using a crown with .25 coil. Thought maybe it was the crown so i tried my kanger with .5 coil and same thing happened. Never experienced this issue before with my kbox 120 or kbox mini. I've seen the resistance for .25 coil that read .26 or .27 but it was steady at that and never fluctuated. Seeing how new this is, I haven't been able to find any threads on this yet. I have however found information on previous Sigelei models that did this and that it was in fact an "issue". Anyone else experiencing jumping resistance with their 213 in power/wattage mode or is mine jacked up?

Picked up one of these little gems today from my local b&m. I concur with the reviews I've read so far in here. Very compact dual battery device. Light but feels well built. Board seems to perform as spec'd. Flush mounted fire button is my biggest con so far but it's tactile. I wish the screen was on the other side. Seems like it was designed for a lefty trigger finger or thumb firer. I'm a RH trigger firer so the screen faces my palm. Screen orientation is not adjustable. Wattage in TC is not adjustable. You can define a pre heat wattage but after that it's adjusted automatically to maintain set temp. I love the cuboid so this one was easy to accept as well. 510 seems sturdy and deep allowing for all my various attys to sit flush and make contact so far. One other con that I have is the fact that you can't power off the device but that's subjective since I've owned many evolve DNA's that have the same issue. All in all I give this one a [emoji106]

The 213 probably has live resistance reading, and the coils are stainless steel (which increase in resistance as they're heated). I know that the Crown, and the Kanger coils may as well.

As mentioned above me. It's the live resistance reading. Your coils resistance will fluctuate when heated. It's actually also how mods do temp control. It's not the actual tenperature the mod reads but this fluctuation in resistance at different temp lvls and it's different with different wire types.

I've been keeping my eye on this mod and I'm getting ready to order it. I've seen a couple people mention misfires, what exactly do you guys mean when you say this? I've been using a Sig150 for over a year now and never seen it do anything out of the ordinary.

When you press the fire button and nothing happens. No power to the atomizer.

I was under the impression that to change wattage in tc mode u had to change to wattage mode to set the desired watts and then go back into tc however I do not have mine yet
No, you set your desire initial hit by going into preheat and setting a power and time setting. Don't go crazy here, the idea idea is for this to a momentary hit to avoid ramp up and every moment that it's doing the preheat it's not doing temp control. This could mean the coil is spiralling towards red hot magma if you set it too long. My recomendation is .5 seconds but 1-2 seconds is possible if power leveling too high. Honestly for this .2 seconds should be enough.

After that the Temp setting will take control. The device will change its power on the fly to match the temp you desire. This is like all other TC devices. Honestly even the preheat settings are like other TC devices. Cept instead of just power settings and the device just doing a very small preheat before taking over, now you can stretch that preheat period out a bit (or more than a but, not reccomended)..

Edit: Also I find that when I have issues it's because I forget to lock my Resistance. Because of the preheat, you can fire and it will go for the preheat period and then drop to like 3w.

So just so I'm clear:

The TC function on the 213 doesn't have a dedicated wattage/joules setting like my 150TC. Does this mean that it automatically chooses a good wattage depending on coil temp? People have mentioned using the preheat settings to set the wattage in TC mode but that doesn't make sense. The preheat was advertised to work as a preheat initial ramp up for both wattage and TC modes. Setting this to be the actual TC power reference defeats that feature. I'm assuming it's just automatic like the Aspire Pegasus with only a temp setting, right?

Also, does anyone else's unit have the battery percentage jumping around erratically by 10-12%? I'm trying to make sure I don't need to do an exchange on this one. Also sometimes I will get a really hot hit (wattage mode) out of nowhere but the voltage and ohms don't change.

i thought it was bizarre at first too. but the way i look at it is you set the wattage to what you like, if you leave the set ramp time to 0.05sec or whatever the minimum is, it's pretty much setting wattage for straight TC. it will get up to that set wattage and drop down if it needs to if temp setting is exceeded.
