Really? Then this is a glorified wattage mod.I've read the same, and remember one person saying the presets were working and then stopped working.
thanks everybody in this thread.
you saved my 120 euros, so much it costs here in Germany at the moment.
I'm not kidding, unfortunately. The lowest price in German online shops is 109 Euro.80 max for this mod.
That's a rip off. 80 max for this mod.
Also those of you asking about the presets (not tcr or tfr). They are working as intended.

According to the Sigelei calculator the TCR for wire types I have in stock are:
NI200 = 0.00333
TI01 = 0.00203
SS430 = 0.00077
(there is only room for 4 digits)
I guess I'll ether have to write their support to see if they will add the NiFe types or simply calculate a ratio from the three known types and approximate a TCR from there. Or not.
I can't seem to fathom the double speak as to how a value of "7" could possibly be more accurate than the seemingly industry standard of "138" or "14" but thermal engineering is not my field.
I spent sometime last night with 3 different Ti builds the preset would ether mostly produce a very lame vape or at times just keep feeding the coil the preheat wattage forever. The "lame vape" would start with the preheat than drop to 1-3Watts for the rest of the pull.
After just now entering "20" for the TI01 build I left on the tank last night all I get is "lame vape". It starts with the preheat and then drops to 1.8-2.0W for the remainder of time the fire button is pressed. This is Mod#2. I'll grab #1 out of the car when I get home tonight and see how badly it works.
By entering a temperature offset of +100 seems to help the "lame vape" in both the Ti01 preset and the newfangled TCR of "20" for Ti01.
I'm happily vaping on a Presa100 right now and currently have a iStick Pico and Joytech Cuboid in reach that not only function as advertised but cost a fraction as much as the Sigelei 213 did.
I'm using TFR with NiFe and it's working ok.I believe that if you enter the TFR value from Steam Engine for 572F it will calculate the TCR value for that wire. This might save this thing for me. (long shot!)
Ti01 = 0.00203
Steam Engine 572F = 2.02477 = 0.00203 = 0.0020
80 bucks for this trainwreck of a mod?!?
They should be paying people to take these imo. I'm absolutely flabbergasted about everything that has unfolded over the last few days and about how Sigelei is handling this.
Someone needs to sue the heck out of this company, no way they would get away with the stunts they're pulling if they were a European or American company.
All shipped units should be pulled out of the stores immediately and people that have already bought one should be given the opportunity to get their money back. That's the only decent way to handle a situation like this imo.
*shakes head in disbelieve*
blow stuff out of proportion much? for people who use power mode or presets in TC, it seems to be working. which is probably a HUGE majority. i know i've been enjoying the heck out of mine every evening in SS316 TC mode with preheat setting.
sigelei's business practice of stating the mod does TCR and TFR, but does not work is pretty shady. as far as firmware upgradeable, i don't know if that's sigelei's fault or a few websites that list that it is firmware upgradeable. but in this day and age, it should be.
i definitely wouldn't call this a trainwreck of a mod, that's for sure....unless i was a TCR/TFR user![]()
