Pretty much expected that. I guess at least there was a lesson learned here with the first 213...On the Sigelei facebook page Sigelei is stating ABOUT June 5th...
also, no surprise, no firmware updates....

Oh my god... So I was looking at the Sigelei facebook page, found some bad examples of customer service! Talk about a complete LACK of customer service.
I was actually looking for information about the NEW Fuchai 213. I have read where Sigelei stated same chip for both Sigelei 213 and Fuchai 213, but others have said they saw that Sigelei states different chip.... anyway,

and I found another, with a similar Sigelei response....
The pic is smaller, so harder to see, but it has the same gap, different poster..

I snapped the bigger picture...

Hahaha, now that it has been pointed out I see a gap on mine too. While it's not as big as either of the ones in the pictures it's there, and the bottom part slightly moves when I press on it.
I have a gap there too. I chose to ignore it![]()
I'm sorry @kenpocory didn't mean to get that whole OCD thing going in anyone! I was just surprised by Sigelei's answer/lack of an answer.....and wanted to share it...Thanks for setting off my ocd TechnoGeek![]()
There are a lot of people here that are way more knowledgeable about this stuff than I am. I've learned more about tc in the few weeks that I've owned this device and participated in this thread than the entire time I've been vaping.LOL I noticed it on day one. It did set off my OCD, but I didn't say anything. I guess I was preoccupied with the good things.
I still greatly appreciate all your hard efforts, especially with regards to working around the TC issues and sharing your findings with us. I will put them to good use, eventually.

Thank you nonetheless, and to all the other members for their hard efforts. There are a lot of people here that are way more knowledgeable about this stuff than I am. If anything I've posted has a chance of helping you get a better experience from the device then I'm glad I could contribute.
LOL. Yeah kind of the vaping equivalent of, doc it hurts when I do this. "Then don't do that. Have a nice day."I'm sorry @kenpocory didn't mean to get that whole OCD thing going in anyone! I was just surprised by Sigelei's answer/lack of an answer.....and wanted to share it...
Q> Is this a design flaw?
Sigelei answer > Do not worry about small gap, thank you for your picture.

Well, after careful consideration and playing with TCR values (mine, theirs, guesses), I think TCR doesn't work for my SS430 on a Bachelor. At least 200F and 430F and temps in between should not produce the exact same vape.
However, I braved the TFR settings and got the values from Steam Engine for SS430.
I'm assuming that the Temp Compensation is from 68F, so I added 7 to get to my room temp.
Made sure the resistance was in line with what I know the tank/coil to be.
Lovely vape, and, with the wife's help watching the screen, it does in fact limit the watts after the preheat. And the watts vary according to time and how hard and long I hit it. One of the better experiences I've had as a matter of fact. SX Mini (M & ML), eVic Mini, RX200.
Haven't decided whether or not to return it, I have another 13 days to decide.
The fit and finish on this are great, I like the feel of it, the size and weight with batteries are excellent.
I just don't know about keeping something that is harder to configure than I'm up to. At least TCR-wise.
But... I have some time to use it and see if my +'s outweigh the -'s.

No firmware upgrades.
The question is how many of us was able successfully return one? I've only read a few of us who returned theirs for a replacement with a similar mod (same chip with TC issues). This was prior to Sigelei's timely changes with their return policies. Has anyone been able to get their money back? Instead of a replacement. I toyed with this idea, then I eventually conceded by keeping what I had.If the Fuchai 213 releases within your time frame, and you find out they fixed the chip on it, then would return it and get one of them instead, just a idea for you![]()
It is very clear that Sigelei didn't have to say the 213 is not firmware upgradeable. If it's not listed it's not available, correct?
I heard you on the head spinning... It seems that every Sigelei rep has a different answer(at least I'm hoping the posts are from different people).those facebook posts just made my head spin.
TBH, non of their representatives know for sure which chipset is going to be in the Fuchai. I remember seeing a post on here by a fellow member stating that he/she received a reply via email from Sigelei stating that the TCR will be fixed via a future firmware update. We all know now that firmware updates are a hell no with Sigelei.
Do yourselves a favor and get the iPV 6 when it comes out.
Same form factor (some vendors list it as 42mm wide, Sig213 is 44mm, so if its true its going to be even smaller), same dual battery. Most likely $20-30 more than the Fuchai 213 (I see MSRP ranging from 70-90 bucks) but its a Yihi chipset so you know at least theres some better QC involved.

I hear you on the IPV6, it does look nice, pretty similar shape to the Sigelei 213....I'll wait and see what the reviews are like after people buy it. Right now, I'm not in a rush as I recently picked up the vt133, and a DX200....
Having a NICE, light, small dual 18650 is on my list...I have the Cuboid, it small and sorta ergonomic, no where near light.... I know this might sound crazy, but after the Fuchai 213 is out and in peoples hands, IF the reviews are good, if I can pick one up for $40-$50, I'd do it....I'd prefer the carbon fiber.. The thing about the IPv6, or any Yihi chip based mod, is I really dislike their menu system, IMO it's just clunky and not intuitive at all.....as an example, if I'm in TC, why do I need to go thru menus to change the temperature? Doesn't make sense to me...Yihi, great chip, needs a better UI...The DNA200 was similar until not that long ago....but they now have that figured out... Now I'm just waiting for them to figure out to put the pre-heat function in power mode, AND allow changes to pre-heat on the mod itself without using escribe....like the Sigelei 213.....
