Perhaps non firmware upgrading is just their way of planned obsolete. Why bother shelling out for the rnd in software when you can continue pushing out hardware with a higher profit margin.
Yea. I'm biased.
Facts:
*
sigelei and Suprimo boasted firmware upgrade.
* Vendors and reviewers advertised the same.
* Sigelei did not officially advertise it.
* Sigelei confirmed there is no firmware upgrading, much much later.
* Suppliers boasts the Fuchai 213 can firmware upgrade.
* Vendors are being advised it has firmware upgrade.
* Sigelei does not officially advertise it.
I see a pattern and smell something foul.
I do not care much for their reasoning behind the business model they wish to adopt. If they can't keep customers happy then it's their problem.
Fact:
* Luckily for them a lot of people still don't care and continues to purchase the Sigelei 213.
Which begs the question: Why the eff are they false advertising? This will only attract the customer base who are looking for those particular functionalities.
Answer: Competition. Sigelei is not the only company to employ such methods.
Unfortunately without regulation, companies are able to employ dodgy practices. Too bad for us our law and policy makers have an entirely different view on the matter. They'd rather tax the hell out of the
vaping industry until its eventual demise.
With the introduced policies by the TPD and the approaching FDA, Australia will not be too far behind, and most likely it'll much worse here. The sale and supply of nicotine was illegal to begin with, and in the state of Western Australia the sale and supply of electronic cigarettes is already illegal.
Life is short; enjoy it while you can.
Edit: Yes, I am biased too, but justifiably.
