hi
fatdaddy connector arrived yesterday after almost a month of shipping
so today ... I could not repair it, it is so frustrating, take a look

IMG_20150502_130246.jpg IMG_20150502_132735.jpg IMG_20150502_130754.jpg

under 510 thread there is a little black plastic box (pic 1)
it contain positive pin for 510 thread and positive pin for battery
It is like everything is integrated inside this black box (pic 2)
a fatdaddy conector can not been installed there without a real modification

so i tried to tap the 510 thread without dismantle just to get new 510 thread over old one...
it can be done this way, drilling is required... but ... i could not do it!!!

i save the mainboard, butons and screws (pic 3)... I threw everything else

hope this can help anyone thinking to repair sigelei mini
beside does not worth spend money to repair it

fatdaddy conector $8 (shipping included)
hand tap kit $14
wd-40 $3

total $ 25 ( new one just 36+ shipping)

frustration is priceless!!!! lol

And I STILL dont understand what happened to my black ones 510 threads either heh. For whatever reason my Derringer and Magma will thread onto it but my Kayfun 4s just pop right off! It looks like Sigelei is revving them along the way though as they always do. I bought the black one literally the day they were available at 101 Vape. The silver one I got a few weeks ago threads my Kayfuns smooth as butter, I dont get that weird springy play with the pin that I did on the first one either, they just screw on like normal. On my first one you could tell the pin was possibly up a little high so you had to really make sure you were balancing the atty and holding it straight and even pushing down a bit to screw them down. The sleeve on the first one is also a little 'wonky', seems a hair too big (or maybe its wearing out already) and the fire button doesnt line up perfect, where the new one, IS perfect. Both are still vaping awesome as hell though I love these things (vaping the Derringer on the black one as I type). The only thing that concerns me with the newer silver one I have is the serial number location in case I need warranty service. On the first one I have, the serial number is up at the top of the battery slot right in between the two magnets that hold the door. On the newer one, its just randomly printed inside the actually battery slot so I hope it doesnt ever rub off from putting the battery in and out..

it is a vulcan style heatsink, looks really nice, it has a 510 adjustable screw... i prefer retractil pin, no one is perfect

Is that the Sigelei with the stripped out threads?? Mine finally gave up yesterday, luckily I have my second one hah. I was trying to pull the top cap off of my Derringer so I could make a new coil and pulled the whole atty out of the threading, now I cant even get that to go back on.. I wonder if one of those heat sinks will still thread in there.

Ahh crap.. Yeah I have a feeling its a lost cause now. For whatever reason the Derringer was the only thing that would still thread on it, and now it does the same thing my Kayfun does. It appears to start threading but a couple of turns in and it pops right back out. Ill probably just get another one. Replacing the 510 on it looks like way more trouble than its worth. Perhaps I can find a new enclosure somewhere and throw the chip in it and make a custom SX130 mod hehe.

Anybody in here by chance own a DNA30 box like a Hana or Cloupor? Wonder if its the same size as the DNA? I can get one of those enclosures cheap! The soldering is no problem for me. I build guitar pedals and work on my own amps so this would be a piece of cake for me.

nice!!! you have soldering skills, i think this chip does not fit dna 30, the screen is different
maybe cloupor mini

The mini has arrived from GB and I like it.
I have to remember the atty is on the opposite side of the fire button where the iSticks have it on the same side.
When the threads strip out on this, I'll pop a Varitube smooth 510 replacement in, I like the look of them better than the FDV version.

Drives the Flashi perfectly!
