I'm a lil bummed that I had to return my Zmax today. I noticed the display had lines and was slightly angled. Functionally it was perfect but Varitube is going to fix it for me. And I was surprised because I'm super gentle with my devices and I have not dropped it. When I'm not using it, it's a zipper case. Varitube mentioned they had issues they addressed with sigelei and hopefully they will have them fixed in a V4. =) Kinda sounds like Microsoft. lol.

I'm checking the version with Varitube since it was a recent purchase. Their description says latest lineup. Do you know when the v5 was released?

Dont know if is released yet,

Well that's disappointing. I ordered from vaportekusa as well, waited how long for it to come in, and now USPS is returning it to them because it's "undeliverable as addressed". Emailed vaportekusa, let's see what happens next. Frankly I don't want to wait 2-3 more weeks for it to get here when I can buy it for another vendor for a couple dollars more.

And yes, I've already verified that I inputted my address correctly into their system.

And that wasnt really the response I was expecting or hoping for, but it is what it is. At least it was within minutes of sending my email.

But passing it off on the USPS seems a little absurd to me, considering I've gotten tons of packages from multiple vendors only through USPS and have not had one issue. And really I'll never know what the actual issue was because it's likely ill never see how it was labeled.

Tempting to just ask for a refund and bite the bullet and buy a provari.

That's a bummer. Sorry you had a bad experience. I was a bit hesitant to order overseas with Fasstech but they took a picture of the package and it came in 7 days once it left the factory. They carry the Vmaz but not the Zmax.

Funny that you mentioned getting Provari 'cause after researching other VV/VW like the VAMO and SVD, I just knew I would eventually get a Provari. Let us know if you find a good deal on one.

FWIW, I've been vaping my sigelei zmax telescope for about two and a half weeks and it's started going weird on me. The display only goes about half as bright as it used to and won't fire. One odd thing is that it shows the resistance of the attached devices, the menu works, just no action. Kinda disappointed but not really surprised. I got it cheap so I'm not bothered over the loss.

Clean the threads and all conections. I have seen few issues like that and after cleaning all went back to normal

I'm not the sort to bother returning things in general, but it would be pointless in this case for me. Got it second hand from a friend who wanted the flat top and ordered the angled top by accident. Only paid him $15 or $20 bucks. I offered more but he refused since I've handed down so much stuff to him over the years.

I took it apart and tracked down the issue. The black ground wire had a bad solder job on the top cap. There was also a substantial amount of oxidation around the solder point. I removed, cleaned, and resoldered the connection and it's back up and running.

The top cap was always seated somewhat loose for press-fit top. I used a carbide pointed punch to four equidistant points on the cap to create small metal craters. Once I drove the cap back into place, it fit so snugly that I doubt I'll ever be able to remove it again. That ought to toughen it up some.

You're exactly what makes ECF an indespensible resource. I really love how we share this wealth of knowledge.

You know I was thinking about a Sun Vaper video why they refuse to sell the Segelei #19. If you're looking for a buisness idea and good at fabricating, you can order a boat load of these from the supplier and then fix all their probs then resell or even better take the design and make a VV/VW....and if daring enough make a brass knuckle design like this:
