Ok guys my zmax has been randomly defaulting. What does this mean.?. I go to fire it and it doesn't, it briefly says sig volt or displays the voltage and then sigelei stays on the screen for awhile and I have to restart w/ 5 click. Anyone experience this or have a fix? (My warranty expires Tues)

Also my tele threads have a lot of play can push-up on bottom it move about a mm and it makes a loud click noise in the threads. Is this a faulty thread cut or considered normal

Have you been through this check list?

-Clean all tube threads and the battery cap threads with a soft cloth dampened in alcohol as soon as you get the mod. You will be surprised how much machining dust will come off.

-Give all tube threads a thin coating of Noalox. You can find Noalox cheap in the electrical department of any Home Depot. This lubricates the threads leaving a thin film of zinc behind that improves electrical conductivity between stainless steel parts. Zinc is a much better conductor of electricity than stainless steel.

-Clean off any moisture that accumulates on the 510 or Ego connections on a daily basis. Kleenex works great for this.

-Pull the post on your atomizing device if needed.

Doing these steps will eliminate problems many people incorrectly attribute to the switch button.

Sometimes the button just needs good exercise. Give it 100 rapid clicks. I had "button misfires" during the first two months. I've hardly experienced any for the past five months.

Liquid in the 510 connector will probably not cause a short circuit but it could ruin good electrical contact. I've mentioned it many times on thread: Noalox on the threads should be considered general maintenance on all telescopic tubes.

If you push on the bottom of the mod and feel no play at all on the threads then the tube is way over tightened and could destroy the internals. The battery spring should be compressed about half way. If the spring is half way compressed you will feel no play on the telescopic tube during normal use.

I lost my Sigelei for a few hours last week. My old E-Power 14650 just didn't cut it as a back-up. I ordered another Sigelei for a back-up. Got a nice price too.

Sigelei ZMAX V3- Flat top - 101 Vape

I'll get the new unit next week. Not that it needs it but I'll give the old Sigelei a rest while I use use the new one exclusively for the two-week warranty period. I'll post results here. Sigelei has made some slight changes to new runs of the Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescopic Flat Top so I'll be looking for those.

The new V3 Telescopic arrived 15 minutes ago from 101 Vape. Arrived ahead of scheduled delivery. I already slapped in a 18500 and redid the settings. It was set for VV, and for Mean in the Power setting when it arrived.

First off, it has the removable top cap for easier cleaning. The plastic button is the same clear, smokey color but the background underneath the button appears black instead of grey on my older V3 Telescopic. Tube threading is smooth. I got both sized battery caps instead of only the 15mm cap. The OLED display is straight and level, no flaws and appears to be mounted a littler deeper into the tube than my older unit shipped in mid-April. There are minor changes in readout wording that I'll look at later. Otherwise, this new Sigelei is identical to the older unit.

The tube threads look cleaner than found on my original unit but I'll be doing the alcohol wipe and dress the threads with Noalox later this evening. Nice unit for $41.99!

I haven't had mine for a week. But I've got the flat top v3- it will trigger protection if using some protected batteries. I solved this by simply removing the protection circuits from my batteries. This may have been noted before, but I haven't had time to read through this entire thread.

On the noalox issue, if you dyi and have some vg laying around it works well also. My local vape shop did this yesterday.

VG will lubricate the threads like Vaseline but will dry out. Noalox improves electrical contact between the threads and provides a little lubrication. Dressed with a thin amount of Noalox the threads move smoothly but a little slower because it's a fairly stiff lubricant. The big reason for using Noalox is to eliminate poor electrical contact between the tube threads. If this happens the problem can look just like a malfunctioning button.

I've had the new Sigelei 24 hours now. I have dressed the threads with Noalox. I took some time to clean threads on my older unit, too. Noalox will start to harden up after a few months so it's a good idea to clean and reapply once in a while.

Just to recap, I now have two Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescopic flat tops. The first was purchased in mid-April and still works great. The second arrived yesterday. I wanted a back-up unit.

Sigelei has upped the game with small changes to this model. They have not changed the version number. It's still V3.

1. The tube threads were perfectly clean and smoother with the new Sigelei. The older one squeaked like a rusty door until I cleaned out the threads.

2. The new production units have a removable top cap for easy cleaning of the 510 and eGo threading. The eGo threading on my older unit is brass. The new eGo threading is stainless steel.

3. Not much of an improvement, but in Menu Item #4 the wording is Batte Voltage on the older unit. On the new model the wording is Batter Voltage.

4. On the new production model the color underneath the plastic button is black instead of grey.

5. On the new production model the OLED is set deeper into the tube. The newer OLED display is brighter and tinted closer to blue in color.

6. In Menu Item #5 the words "Resistance" no longer scroll along for long time when selected. With the new model it doesn't scroll at all. It says "Resistan" and stays lit as long as other menu selections.

The new unit is on top. Both have 18500 inside with the 15mm battery cap installed.

It's easy to tell which units have the new removable top cap. Look to the left of the display screen. A flange from the new 510/eGo connector assembly shows up between the top cap and the main body. The blue tint and deeper position of the OLED screen is not that noticeable in this photo. The OLED was slightly crooked on my old unit from day one. I decided not to sweat that. The new unit is on top.

Anyone know if the new V3s are available anywhere else? Seems like 101 ran out or are making some inventory changes
101 vape had a ton of different APVs for sale two weeks ago. Almost all of them have sold out due to the low pricing.

Until 101 Vape restocks there are a lot of US dealers out there for Sigelei Telescopic V3 and V5. This is a guess but it could be that all V5s have the removable top cap as they are all recent production. I have seen V5 sold body alone without the cell phone charger accessory. The problem is vendors may not always state if the Telescopic has the removable top cap or not and their product photos may be out of date. You can always email the vendor to ask before buying.
