Does anyone have any idea when sigelei is going to build a PV around this beast chip!?!? Look at these specs... 5-35 Watts, 1.5-9.5 Volts and up to 12.5 Amps!?!? Holy CRAP :vapor::vapor: Also when you choose By-pass mode, it can be used in mechanical mode! I....must.....have....this!!!!:headbang:

I meant to ask again, because of something I read RE: the Sigelei v3 in another thread.... someone said that flat-top batteries don't play nice with this? That it really prefers button-tops? I can save some money if I buy 2 of whatever kind; if I have to buy one of each to see for myself, it will cost more. Just need to make sure I buy the RIGHT kind, first try, because I am SICK! of someone telling me somethng is "right" for whatever, and then finding that I should have bought something else -- really, REALLY not made out of money.

When I first went to buy e-juice, they told me that "18mg is the right level to start at." It made me sick as a goat -- 12mg made me sick as a goat, so they were not only wrong, they were WAYYYYYYYYYY wrong.

When I bought 30ga kanthal wire that someone had told me was "right" for making a 2.2-2.4 Ω coil for my T3S, I then find that 11 or 12 wraps will not fit in a T3S, I should have bought 32ga.

When I bought braided silica wick to put in the coils, someone then told me that "ecowool is better."

Really, REALLY tired of paying good money for WRONG stuff.

I haven't had any issue with the flat top batteries, all of mine are flat top!

Well, that's good to hear; amazon has a pair of 18650 2250mAh, Efest IMR, flat tops, for $20.99... which is better than $11.99 each for the button tops. I assume it doesn't matter for the 350's either? because the flat top 18350s are also cheaper than the button top. I figure I can get the 18500s later, when we get the fed refund.

I have used both flat top and button top batteries in my Zmax for over a year without a single problem. Not at the same time of course. ;)

Of course. :D It's really good to know, since the flat tops are cheaper by the pair than the button tops each. Not a great deal of diff, but some; but the 18350's, there's about $1.50 diff in the price of flat vs button, so I'm going to go ahead and get 2 pair of those. That way I'll have 2 I can use by turns, and another pair that can be charged and used together.

BTW, love your avatar! Let's do the Time Warp! :D

The V3 and V5 can use either flat top or button top batteries. My 18650s are button top and the 18500s and 18350s are flat tops. You can even stack 18350 flat tops. I buy flat tops when I get a chance if they are cheaper.

I'm glad your Sigelei is on the way, Andria. I think you set a record for the most posts from a non-Sigelei owner on this thread, ever. ;)

heh... well as I learned from reading the SVD thread, if you want to know about something, you go talk to people who own that something. I really do think Innokin will fix those button issues on the SVD, it's too good a mod not to, and see how they've done that with the vv3, and now it's really awesome. But I decided that I wasn't willing to wait until if or when they do, and this one was next on my list to check out... glad I didn't have to keep looking, because anything else that seems really decent is more costly. :thumb:

Now what the heck happened to my banner? don't tell me now they've blacklisted Ms T's Bakery!

I wish more people who were interested in APVs would come here to the Variable Voltage APV Discussion instead of relying on the New Members and General E-smoking forums. There is a lot of just plain wrong info being put out there, especially in the New Members forum.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing from you and your adventures with the new V3. Remember: use Noalox, don't over-tighten the battery tube and happy vaping.

Yeah I've gotten a lot of good info from the vv3 thread, and learned that the SVD wasn't yet a good investment from that thread, and that this Sigelei is, here in this one. Can't beat it!

Also I forgot to mention... one of the cool thingies that will be arriving in that Hong Kong shipment is this drip tip which looks as if it was MADE for the silver Hypertank...

silverygourddriptip.jpg

It's stainless, too, but won't get so hot, as I've discovered with the plastic one I got from madvapes -- they don't all that warm at all. Can you believe this great tip, in stainless, for $3.06? That's why I decided that waiting on a long-distance shipment wasn't such a bad idea after all. :D Also a pouch-lanyard for $1.07!

Guess it should be here in a week or so.
