I'm on pins and needles. I checked tracking, and my new Zmax V3 and its accouterments indicate delivery (at my OFFICE - in a LOCKED mailbox - and I don't have access to a key!!!!!) If I'd know how quickly it was going to arrive, I would have shipped to home address so I could have received it YESTERDAY....

{sigh} Guess I'll have to wait until morning

Helluva way to make the weekend last longer.

Because of a protective market. Bear in mind that I can shop across the EU as if it were in front of my house. No customs, no added taxes. I pay the country's origin tax.
If however I buy something in Asia or US, not only have I deal with lottery customs that will withhold a package for weeks but also with a good chance that I will need to pay custom duties, VAT and transport costs from customs to my address... It's just too much of a hassle...

One of the battery forums I mentioned earlier is here; Torchy battery prices
Both the Sibeile and Torchy are rated high (better than AW 18350) and he also sells the EFest.
I wasn't able to find Sibeile in the US (I don't include ebay and Torchy doesn't sell on ebay.us)
The Xtar 18350 did good in tests - outperformed AW. I can find those.
All of these are IMR. There's not a lot of interest in developing 18350's (outside of vaping).

We have reports that some of the FastTech Sigelei V5s are sold with vents on the flat top top cap and the chrome plated plastic button. We haven't seen reports of vented top caps being available from others vendors yet.

I have always listed outside diameter of V3 and V5 as 23mm.

Thanks for your help

I suppose it will just be trial and error

Will let you know how I get on :)

Hey everyone!
Just received my zmax v3 in the mail and wow! What a nice piece of equipment! It came with sigelei batteries anyone have experience with these? My only other question is screwing in the battery. I am using a 18650 with the taller spring cap and I just want to make sure I screwed it in right. The battery sticks out an 1/8 of an inch from the tube. Does that rule still apply?

Thanks Jeremy. :)

Tchavei, I got the V3. Yes, it's telescopic. I looked at the minis when they were on "super sale" the other day, but I thought - kill two birds with one stone and went for the V3 (it was a good price, and enough for me to start playing with replaceable batteries. I have MVP2s and VV3s in my current arsenal. Guess I need to consider off-loading some of my older stuff.....)

Tchavei, the 18350s charged first. Still waiting on the 18650s to charge.

I read in the early postings about two endcaps. I have both, and if not mistaken, need to use long endcap wit the 350s and the short end cap with the 650s?

You're intuition is correct on the endcaps :)
