I have the istick 20w and it runs all my low power stuff fine, even old single coil evods. Although now I'd get the improved 30w, I'd replace my ego's with them. Very handy and hold a charge forever - which is the main value I see in them. I have a 50w on the way. From what I can tell so far, the longevity appears to be holding up fine. Care needs to be taken with the micro usb but that's nothing new.

I've also looked at the cloupor and it seems the heating issue was due to the chip in the original batches - and it's probably a good idea not to recharge most of them through micro usb or use them as a pass through. That's not an issue isolated to cloupor. I don't know if sigelei 30w is similar - that's a hard one to find in stock at a good price. Maybe it's time for another SJ "friends and family" unmentionable???

I'm not sure if you saw the comment that the Mo'Vapes V3 is a flat top and it includes protank (full kit) even though it's not mentioned in the ad. Hard to go wrong. I passed those kits out as Christmas presents this year to help get some of my friends going. I figured if nothing else, I was stocking up on spare parts. I still sorta wish there was someone into collecting and repairing these or stocking old parts for them (including Vamo's).

If your ok with 15w, there are a heck of a lot of great deals on provari's in the classies right now. Those never die and I don't see provape pulling support for them, of course I don't know what's going to happn if that WA 95% tax goes through. But that's still the longest lived, dependable, built like a tank regulated mod around imo.

Why would your regulated mods be loosing power? I thought power depended on batteries, not the electronics .... ???

Well the vv3's have the internal, integrated battery -- and a couple of mine are right around a year old, one just over, one just under; that first one was my exclusive vape for quite a while, until I got the sigelei zmax, so it's seen some pretty hard use. The 2nd one, I don't actually know if it's losing power, haven't tried it recently, it might still be ok.

The Vamo, I have no idea what's up with it, but its mode that corresponds to RMS just doesn't get the job done, so I went to its "AVG" mode, similar to Mean I think, and it works fine that way.

I did see the comment about the Zmax being a flat-top, and that's a good thing, though I have no earthly use for a protank. Since going to Kayfuns, I just can't make a clearo work at all anymore -- all of mine are in the "retired" drawer now. They might get PIFed one day, but I don't think I'll ever use another clearo; they just don't compare to Kayfuns in any way, shape, or form. The only "old tech" that i still find workable at all are cartotanks, but I got tired of the replacement cost of the single-coil, 3 ohm, punched cartos with the flange -- the ones without a flange won't work in my cartotank, so doing the self-punching to save money isn't workable. So my cartotank is also as good as retired. Think I'll just stick with my KFL+'s, the price on those has fallen a lot since the newer v4's came out.

Here is the one I bought, 15W Vamo V5 PCB Circuit Board - Ocean Vapor... Check out some of their prices.

Here is a V10, wish I got this one, $11.99 - Vamo V10 VW / VV APV Control Module - Cigabuy

Another V5, Vamo V5 PCB board with OLED screen

From Fasttech V8 40W, https://www.fasttech.com/products/2093103

Another Fasttech V6 20W, https://www.fasttech.com/products/3023/10010021/2093102

Another Fasttech V10 55W, https://www.fasttech.com/products/3023/10010021/2135407

I found some new Vamos selling for $18 and up. Some great deals on these Vamos out there.

I'm curious about those V10's. Looks like a single board.

You're right. The 2nd pic shows it from the side. I was having trouble believing that it could put out 55 watts with such a small component count (no obvious buck/boost capacitors and inductors), but then I read in the reviews that people were saying it requires stacked 18350's to operate, so that makes a little more sense. That's not much flexibility for battery configuration options, but for folks who normally stack all the time it's probably no biggie. I personally vape at low wattage (7 to 8 watts) so I normally just use a single 18650 which gets me through a full day (or a little more).

Edit: The Cigabuy one that you said you wish you had bought appears to be the same exact board as the V10 from FT.

Clearance sale at Kidney Puncher, flat top V5, SS or black, or mini, $19.95

MARCH10off for anything else on your order.

I ordered some AW batteries and stumbled on this. Ordered a SS. No warranty so hope for the best.

Wow! Thanks Paul! I ordered one. Can they go lower? If so I will have a lifetime supply!

I've only seen the telescoping V5's before and these use reg / extended caps instead. I wonder if the extended cap allows room for stacking 18350's. I've never seen Sig's black chrome. That's a good store with a good reputation and prob. fine without warrenty.

Has anyone ever tried to use Sigelei's year warrenty? I like knowing it's there, but I haven't paid attention / heard of anyone using it (outside of SJ's buys).

Regarding the Sigelei warranty... The user's pamphlet that came with my V5 says:

"Warranty and Guarantee: 12 months"

The quote above is the complete text of the Sigelei warranty. It includes no contact information. There is no one to call, email, snail mail or send smoke signals to if they should want to return the Sigelei for warranty or for repairs. Basically, the Sigelei manufacturer's warranty and guarantee is completely worthless to the end consumer.

The Sigelei V3s and V5s are excellent quality rigs with the exception of the switch, which is cheaply built. Many of these switches fail after several months of heavy use. The switches can and have been user-replaced with much higher quality replacement switches. I have done it myself.

The Sigelei Mini is exactly the same length as Sigelei V3 or V5 with the shorter cap in use.

PaulBHC,

I ordered another V5 in stainless steel from Kidney Puncher a few minutes ago. I'll let you know how it goes. I already have two V3s that work great as backups to my V5. This will give me another V5 for backup. I figure at $19.95 I could use the spare V5 board for my stainless steel buttoned V5. I've got multiple Omron replacement switches for all of them.

Thanks for the heads up. :2cool:
