Sigelei ZMax V3 (Telescope) & TrustFire Protected 18350 (1200 mAh)

Hi. Am new here and first post. Had the ZMax for little over a week now and it's been performing great with the ICR 18650 (2200 mAh) & 18350 (900 mAh) batteries that came with it. However with the more recent purchase of the TrustFire Protected 18350 (1200 mAH) the ZMax turns on fine but doesn't fire. At the press of the button it fires for a sec and turns off by itself. Taking out the battery and reinserting it again yields the same result (with or without any cartomizer/clearomizer attached). I'm beginning to think that the ZMax doesn't fully support Protected batteries. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks guys. Time for me to load up more Unprotected batteries especially the 18350s as I feel the Zmax is a beaut in it's short mode.

*Keep on vaping*

Hey you should get some 18500 size batteries. They are not much bigger than 18350s and last longer! I use them all the time in my Zmax!

I watched the video on this APV (but not the telescopic so this probably worthless information) and the button tops were the ones that worked. I have the telescopic and I use the 18650s in it. The lighting up and not firing was exactly what happened with the wrong batteries. Apparently a lot of folks are against stacking the 18350s due to safety concerns. Wish I understood a bit more about all this. I am a heavy vaper and use at least two setups throughout the day with different flavors. The 18650s last a day and then some. I like it!
