The sucker is big - and heavy. But, again - I like that.

And the caps, at least on mine, are definitely NOT plastic. It's seriously well built. I can't speak to the circuitry, having never owned a sibling, but if that holds up, the body is as close to indestructible as you can get. Just for that alone, I might end up hanging on to the dang thing.

I have been debating over this or the MVP.....hmmm. Wondering how much heavier it is than the sigelei zmax telescope, anyone have both for comparison or a hand shot of the tmax

Wait! You own a Billet Box, yet want something like THIS? Seriously? For what use? Paper-weight? ;-)

Hey Baditude whats that mod you have in the middle of that photo?
This is a pre-production photo of the TMax. The smaller one on the left was to have a single 16340 battery. The larger one on the right was to use a single 18650 battery. I grabbed the photo from Vapor Joe's Blog Spot.

I should expand on that. I actually LOVE the design (look, feel, etc.), and was VERY bummed out that it did NOT perform they way everyone posted that the ZMAX family did. I expected the equivalent of a ProVari, for a lot less money.

Silly me.

The only reason it's not posted classy yet, is because I DO like it so much. Physically, at least. So, the question is, do I keep something that I only like to look at, and play with in my hands? I've been dumped by a few girls on the very same basis, so I'm inclined to say "No!".

I don't get it? Nothing in the Zmax family was equivalent to the Provari, so why did you expect this to???

Because I never actually had one. There were many, many posts that indicated it might well have been. I saw a BUNCH of people who owned both and said they were basically equal - or at least close.

I don't know if it's all the "MAX", or just the TMAX, but one of the things that I don't like is having to hit the button and then wait a few seconds before it's fully cranked into gear. Don't get me wrong - I'm like that too, but I'm 51 years old with decades of athletic abuse. This baby is, well, just a baby.

I might get used to it. I probably just came in expecting too much. I'm taking a few breaths and sitting on it for a while.

I don't get it? Nothing in the Zmax family was equivalent to the Provari, so why did you expect this to???

The one I recently purchased from Exhale Vapors just arrived yesterday:) Yes, it IS heavy! On the Vapor Alley website, they say it's 7.7oz. To me, with battery installed, feels like at least a full pound. You can tell which side pocket it's in by looking at the way my jacket sags. Apart from weight, it is a very nice device. Extremely sturdy and, as others have noted, has same chip and menu system as Zmax. I initially had trouble getting the device to turn on. I have a few 18650 batterys. Tried all 3 and made sure I put them in the right way, but no power. I was beginning to think I got a defective one, but eventually got it to work. I had been screwing the metal cap on as tight as it would logically go and that was the problem. When I just touched the spring to the end of the battery, the device powered on. You just have to be very careful, take your time and slowly screw the cap on. You don't have to leave it loose, just don't over tighten. I do not believe the end caps are metal, but coated to look like it. They are cog shaped for easy gripping, but IMO could be a bit thicker or have a few more threads, as someone with large fingers might have trouble gripping something that is narrower than an 1/8th of an inch? These kind of "fiddely" factors might be off-putting to some. The draw is effortless and smooth but does take maybe a fraction of a second to fully activate and stays on another fraction of a second, after button is released. Never having owned a Zmax, I'm not sure if this is par for the course or not, but is no biggie for me. The button rattles. It is placed in such a way as to be comfortable using your middle finger, if gripping the device in the middle(my preferred way) of your palm, or your thumb, if holding closer to the bottom(with end caps being supported by the pinky side of your palm). As far as power, it seems to have plenty, but, then again, I'm not a power vaper. I usually use a 1.5 or 2.0ohm dual coil smoktech carto tank and rarely need to go higher than 5 volts. I've never had a variable wattage device before(just vv), so I'm not familiar with that aspect, nor it's capabilities/advantages yet. With one 18650 battery installed, there is no internal movement or rattling. If you prefer box mod shape devices with oodles of options, want something sturdy and enjoy the freedom of using easily obtained/versatile rechargable batteries, this $67 device is well worth the money:)

Man....I've been wanting a box mod. I sure as hell don't NEED one, but I want one. I'd like a Billet Box but that's just out of my price range.

If I can get one (preferably in the loudest, tackiest color available, I'm thinking gold/yellow but I could go blue or red) for around $60 I think I can justify it within my vape budget....

Soooo many toys.....so little money.

I never thought this would become such a full-on hobby. I only started for the flavor, a way to taste things without eating. My brother got me a disposable Apollo, then I got a G6 kit from Halo. Then a manual Volt X2 from Smokeless Image. My frustrations with the 808 connector led me to buy an eGo Twist. Then a 1300mAh Spinner. It was all downhill from there!

Now I've got an eVic and an SVD. And a China GG mechanical. I figure if I can get just ONE box mod, I'll have the general spectrum covered. Of course....there's the bottom feeders but I feel like I'd need to use one before I could justify the cost of a good one.

So yeah. Just need to chill out and get a T-Max.

LOL, yes I love my billet box but I also love my tanks for ease of changing juices, so my Sigelei zmax gets almost as much use as my BB. I am always looking for something else in the event one of mine becomes incapacitated :).
The BB is a soldier though, it would take a lot to incapacity it.

Honestly I am also looking for my partner who uses egos right now and could care less about changing to something else other than a longer battery life. She has about 5 ego batteries but has to change them several times a day. I do know she does not want anything to bulky so the tax may be out. Been thinking of the GLV mini for her

Anybody besides me having difficulty getting the device to turn and stay on, when inserting the battery? Mine is extremely finicky and takes me a ridiculous amount of time to get the spring to sit just right. This happened the first time, but didn't take as long. This time, I was so frustrated, I almost threw the darn thing out the freaking thing out the window, but didn't cuz the weight might have taken out half the house and finally worked. Jeeze!

I came here today to basically either delete or remove this review. I've had the device less than a month now and it has serious build quality issues. It fires like every 3rd or 4th time, shuts itself off and so on.

I am unable to remove the original post or even edit it. I would if I could.

Please do not buy this piece of junk. The original review was an out-of-the-box review. After one month of use, I can tell you its total garbage.

I will never buy another Sigeli device.

I've had my Tmax for nearly 3 weeks and it's still working. After less than a week the 510 connection came out along with my Evod when I unscrewed it. I was able to screw it back in and it's stayed put ever since. I haven't had a real problem with it shutting off...maybe once or twice.

It is very heavy and it hits great with a fully charged battery, but it becomes weaker when the battery gets to 3.6 and below. There is also a delay in firing the lower the charge gets. Thank goodness you can carry a spare 350 on board.

All in all, it's not the greatest mod, but I like the form factor and the color (red) is very nice. It's not nearly as good as my Sigelei Zmax telescopic flat top. That one is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone as a great mod.
