I found on top of other things is how effective is the vape from the device, as i have gotten more and more effective devices the feeling of having to chain vape fades.

with that said i have tanks here that can eat 3 ml in an hour LOL and when im bored i can chain vape until the room is fogged out. burning through 30 ml in a couple days :D (good thing i DIY)

once you finally detox from the smokes you find you want to vape not need to vape, the nic is a hook but the need to smoke every hour or so was actually all the other crap, if i get distracted i can go hours without thinking about a vape.

Lmao I am so glad to see I am not the only one with this issue :) I am only on day 5 without analogs and I think its more of a mental thing with me Do not want to go back to the stink sticks lol so haven't been more than 2 feet from my mvp2 in that time but even "chain vaping" 18mg juice I go through about 4ml a day.

I go through 2 milliliters when I'm working, 3 to 5 on weekends. I originally started vaping to quit chain-smoking while I was driving 6 hours per day in a company truck and never intended to quit smoking. I don't have the driving job any more (which I hated) so I'm much less stressed out than I used to be. Last cigarette was on the day I was laid off and I don't miss either type of stinky!

Don't stress about the milliliters or the nicotine. I also had to drop from 16mg to 12 and now to 8--not because I wanted to but because I use it as a pacifier when I'm bored and over-do on the nicotine because I'm not paying attention, like eating popcorn during a movie.

. . .I feel like I do nothing but vape, like I'm sucking on a freakin pacifier! I'm hoping this is a transitional thing? Cuz I feel like a crackhead! So, what is the sitch with that?

When I vaped. . .I vaped constantly. Smoked tobacco for >52 years, (2.5 PAD when I started vaping). That's pretty much all the time. Did the same thing when I started vaping. Unless I was asleep or in the shower I was a vapin. Got concerned I was vaping too much Cinnamon, left it out of my next DIY batch. Couple days later I discovered I also accidently left the nicotine out of that batch. Was the beginning of the end of my vaping. Took me another 3 years to shun the hand to mouthy, Oral Gratification thingy. But, I could have gone on forever vaping 50/50 PG/VG, about 20mL a day. VG is rather sweet by itself. Without flavoring and nicotine I doubt any amount of vaping could ever hurt anybody. JMHO

Cheers,

You describe a common experience among new vapers. Cigarettes burn out...ecigs do not. You've lost what you've habitually associated as an indication to STOP.

Kinda scary at first because it seems like you're vaping nonstop. One of three things is most likely to happen:

1. You'll gradually settle into a frequency level of vaping you find comfortable (or "normal"), or

2. You'll no longer care how much you vape and you'll make a conscious effort to NEVER EVER run out of juice.

3. Both 1 and 2.

I think my own experience is very similar, started on the ecigs as an alternative to smoking, and used it like I would a ciggie. Only used it when I had a craving for nicotine /analogue. I also started on a high strength (24mg) as I wanted to feel as if I had enought nicotine in my system not to feel deprived. Went on this way for several weeks and this then turned into a couple of months. Slowly, I just enjoyed the ability to vapre whenever I wanted to, in the house in the car, at my desk, and this 'freedom' gave way to probably the regular vaping all day / whenever I wanted to, instead of going outside for a normal cig.

So, a few months on, I haven't had an analogue for five months now, and am firmly into what I beelive is the vaping way of life. I've upgraded to a VV device, experimented with different flavours ( currently Hangsen Peanut Butter is my fave), and have dropped down to 18mg. I did worry that I was using a lot of fluid, but in reality it was only around 3ml per day. Even now, with the VV and the bigger tanks, I'm still only using around that amount each day.

I wouldn't say I constantly vape, but I do enjoy it and love the fact that I can pretty much do it anywhere, even it its only a couple of tokes!

I smoked for 22 years. Towards the end, I started feeling gross when I smoked. I didn't intend on quitting cigs either. I got a Blu disposable for my job. I went a whole 8 hour shift with vape breaks in the bathroom, and wasn't stressing out. So I figured it was time. When I first started, I limited myself to 10 puffs per vape break. Worked well. But now I know that vaping 3 or 4ml a day isn't much (as I do). I sit with my vape in my hand more than I take puffs, so it just gives me the impression that I am chain vaping.

At any rate, at least I'm not smoking, right! That's part one of my master plan hehe

Good Deal on Not Smoking for 6 Months.

Sounds like you have Fully Turned the Corner on that. And your chances of going back to them are Very Small. But now comes the point where you need to ask yourself if you are Happy with the Amount you use an e-Cigarette?

When I witched, I didn't care how much I vaped. The ONLY goal was to get off Analogs. But somewhere down the line, around 6 months also, I started to feel Tied to my e-Cigarette just as I felt tied to Analogs.

I was walking around a lot at Home with it in my hand. Sometimes without even noticing it. And when I went into Store or Movies or Restaurants, I would think about Sneaking Hits. Because my PV was Always in my Shirt Pocket. It was starting to get to me at Work. Where there Is No Vaping Period.

There came a point where I just said Enough is Enough. And started to use an e-Cigarette more like an Analog. Take 6 or 7 Hits. Then Put it Down. Many Times I would put it Down Across the room just so I would have to get up to get it. I would also leave my PV in my Car when I went to the Store. Or the Bank. Or a Movie.

For about a Week it kinda Felt like I was Quitting Analogs again. And I was Edgy and Nervous. But just like with Quitting Analogs, that faded and soon passed.

Now I don't feel Tied to my PV. There are times when I will go someplace and realize that I forgot to bring my PV. It's not a Big Deal. And Work is so much Easier because I don't have that Edgy Feeling wanting to slip out and take a hit.

A lot of Vaping is Mental. And Mental Addictions or Ritualistic Habits can be hard to break.

But for me, it all started with Putting the PV Down. And using it more like a Analog and Less Like a Pacifier.

I went through the same process you are going through as well. I am a year in and have noticed that I can finally go several hours without vaping. I don't even get edgy at all without it, like I did with tobacco. I realized that I am now only dealing with an oral fixation and not an addiction to nicotine. If your uncomfortable with having your PV in your hands at all times, just simply put it down and make a conscious effort to not vape for any given amount of time, be it 5 minutes or more. I think you'll be surprised how easy it actually is. Take on a task and decide not to have a vape until you are done with it. Eventually you will level out and find that happy place where you are comfortable with vaping. Good luck and best wishes!
