I think you and I are on the same page ..
Do I stick to regular nic or switch to salt nic ...
That depends on your wattage and resistance of your coil. Higher resistance and low wattage will allow you to go high nic but regular freebase nic gets really harsh over 24 mg/ml. Salt nic is considerably less harsh at levels as high as 50mg/ml. I vape 6mg, and when i make my own i use nic salt, even at 6mg strength. At this low level, there isnt much notable difference between salt and freebase, i just seem to like salt better. This could be due to the fact that nic salt is all i have on hand to mix with, and that i make a mean lemon cheesecake vape juice that i can vape on for a long time and not get tired of it.

Yup, sometimes firing up before bedtime gets me to sleep..
Alcohol on the other hand, was my sworn enemy, I drop like a sac of beans after drinking however, 2hours max then I'm awake.... .tired, phased, and cranky AF
Yeah, alcohol really messes up your sleep for sure. Just when your liver should be taking a rest it's working overtime to detoxify. Been there, done that. I do have a confession to make, though. Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night I grab my vapes and go at it. Fortunately, I'm down to 3mg nic and it doesn't even make a dent. I happily go back to sleep.

Welcome....I'll just add the same as coyote. You need to choose a nic level that satisfies the craving...even if its 24 mg/ml.

My guess is that you are a bit anxious....try not to vape too much the last 2 hours before bed and also some poeple swear by melatonin tablets. Good luck :)

bwahaha I take melatonin (both in tablet and liquid form, 5mg of each), trazodone (as a sleep aid), and benadryl and still will be awake... I've tried every sleep aid there is but....I'm lucky if I get 3 hours uninterrupted sleep
though I will say the liquid melatonin seems to work better (probably because it gets into your system directly)

but my issues aren't from nic...my brain just doesn't shut off...even in my sleep i'm aware of everything around me.

if you are able to, listen to some music, doesn't really matter what kind...just stay focused on the music and nothing else....it may help, that's about the only way I get sleep.... but for you it'd probably help with the restless feeling
supposedly spraying your pillow with lavender will help you sleep

Like what Bombastinator said, melatonin is not meant to be a permanent cure. Your body produces melatonin naturally, and taking doses might be used to help "jump start" your system to a new schedule. Continual use might actually have the opposite effect, since your body does recognize you have melatonin in your body, so it will lower the amount it produces itself.. which means after your dose of melatonin wears off, your body isn't producing as much for the rest of the night, causing you to go to sleep, but not stay asleep.

I had sleep disturbance for 2-3 months. It passes (for nearly all) if you do suffer. Keep the mg low in the evening. Good luck.
