ok so its been over a month since i've had a cigarette, and most of everything has improved in my life except sleep. I find it really difficult to go to sleep, and when i wake up I always feel exhausted and still tired, even if i've had 8 hours of deep rest. And usually, if my schedule will allow, I pass right back out, and end up sleeping another 2 -3 hours. If I force my self to wake up, i feel sleepy most of the day, until I can take a nap .It's starting to get really annoying, and its messing with my schedule ...
Is this a common side effect of vaping? And does it go away, its been like this for weeks now :( !

Advice is appreciated!
Go have a sleep apnea test done...I have sleep apnea...before the machine 8 hours of rest exhausted thru the day, actually falling asleep on the drive home from work, well not falling asleep but drifting in and out (if I sat for longer than 10 min or so my body felt like it was just powering down), same thing at my desk at work, got my test done, the technician recording the test knew I had apnea withing a few hours (said in 4 hours I had 19 something "events" what ever that means)

People have actually commented to me that I stopped breathing for minutes at a time (I snore heavily too...bleh), they said they almost woke me up just to make sure I didn't die

Once I got the machine...day and night..took me about two weeks to get used to the mask after that...complete 180, not tired anymore, not drifting in and out, energy...

I will say this, waking up in the morning the chemical stimulant nicotine has lowered, when I wake up..feel ultra groggy and foggy...a few good hits on the e-cig and I can literally feel myself clear up, then throw in a cup of another chemical stimulant caffeine and I am good to go...neither of which is really "good" for you...but your body will get used to operating with those chemical stimulants, when they lower in your system...the lack of the chemical is "not normal" so you feel "out of it" till you get that chemical back up to "operating levels"

I recall my first attempt to stop smoking...promoted by the company I worked for.

I had three days (the weekend) and on Monday morning I woke up at 5:00 am. What to do? I cannot drink coffee and smoke so I tried to take a lap around the pond...but got spooked, after all it was still dark.

When I got to work I felt TRAPPED...I had no choice now, to smoke or not to smoke. That was the end of that attempt to stop smoking.

I realize now that my nic intake has probably tripled, if not more, since I started vaping. Not so much by choice, but rather out of necessity: with my eGo setup, it's the only way I get a satisfying throat hit. And satisfaction is what keeps me from going back to smoking. I'll take nicotine over black lungs and cancer any day.

Absolutely, vaping is far better no matter what.

Lower nicotine is going to have less throat hit however. You could try a menthol vape. Yeah I know, I was never a menthol smoker and so was never interested in vaping menthol either. Finally I got curious and decided to try it - well, I'm now kicking myself. Menthol has heaps of throat hit and would have probably really helped me when I was struggling a month or two in.

I've noticed that drip vaping on a good mod, even with low nic, is a far more satisfying throat hit than my piddly eGo twist with a carto.

I'm just trying to keep myself satisfied with what I have to work with until I can afford to go king mod or provari or whatever it is that I move up to.

I really think I can get off the nic, or go down to a 3mg with a better setup, and not have to worry about sleeplessness or headaches.....
