I am going to try and buy more authentic stuff, thats kind of my promise to myself.... That being said, I have a KF31 clone from FT that I dremelled out the lousy shallow juice channels on, to something more appropriately sized and now it wicks like a dream............ vapes outstanding, its a nice atty for super cheap. I even took apart a damaged fill port and rebuilt it to work again on a clone..... I guess I got to the point where sometimes a little surgery on the tanks is no big deal.

I've been fixing cellphones for years (hence the name) at my shop, so I get pretty comfortable under the hood, so long as I understand the concept of how it works.... ie: why are those juice channels cut deep? why is there a ball bearing in the fill port....LOL

Well not sure about that, but I will tell you that on the 3.1, on the fill port, that bezel where you insert the syringe, is basically a set screw with a hole in it, so it unscrews... then theres a tiny oring, ball bearing and finally a spring.

took off the bezel (hollow set screw or grub screw if you like) by using a small hex head driver
the oring was out of place, had to fish that out with a kanthal hook of wire...
popped out the ball and spring
cleaned everything, and put it back in reverse order.

leaking fill port that would not seal, now works and seals just fine. Also realized why you shouldnt use a metal needle, it moves the oring which is what happened on this one, the plastic tapered needle doesnt disturb the oring, and the pressure of the juice moves the ball, not the needle. Been filling with the plastic needle and so far no problems :)

Bill man..stop playing with the eye and come out and tell us all about it. I am seriously thinking of ordering one :)

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I got word today that it just left Los Angeles. I ordered this about 3 weeks ago, so it got on the slow boat from Germany. I can't wait. I think someone said two weeks for shipping. it's going to be closer to a month. As soon as it arrives, likely this week, I will shoot it and show everybody, and give feedback. Believe me, I'm ready. On another note, my Provari came back better than ever. New board, clean, no voltage drop to speak of, blue LED (the one I sent in had a red LED). I like it even better, and only $65 for everything including shipping. Pretty good deal I thought. Can't wait for the P3, though. And really can't wait for THE EYE!

The P3 just doesnt excite me........... looks nice, but too many negatives. The biggest to me would be that 510 connection ring unscrewing with the atty all the time..... that would drive me more crazy than I already am.

I have not seen an official price either, might be cheaper than expected? who know's.... The whole mod scene had changed sooooo much in the last 6 months. Wattage is sky high, prices are dirt cheap.... Box mods seem to rule the scene right now? a lot has changed. Provari will sell a ton of them, no doubt about it..........but I just don't think it would be a good fit for me.

Yeah, I get it. Different strokes and all. Like me, I don't like mechanicals (other than to fire coils), or box mods, so I get what you're saying, my friend. On the other hand, I do like higher wattage tube mods at 23 mm, fully regulated, but that's just me. I'm seeing super subohm builds on clones everywhere now, and cloud chasing'itis. Talked with a guy last night who made a .02 ohm coil in preparation for an upcoming cloud competition. I explained that ohm meters less than 3 digits are generally accepted as off by .07 ohms. I mentioned this along with the fact that he's going to hit somewhere over 60 amps on his build, and he explained that he just wanted to see if he could do it. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot? Do what, make a pipe bomb for your face? Cloud competitions? Yeah, there are many changes going on in vapeland, and we may all very well lose as a result of it. Glad I make everything but my hardware, I'm going to need them, a lot of them, and probably soon!
