I found someone selling a used Semovar with all the tubes and the 14mm and 18mm tapered tops for a fair price.

The thing is very well built, you can spin the caps off with a flick of your finger, you take the top piece off and attach your tank to it then in the inside of the top piece you screw the central contact up to meet your tank so it fits perfectly, same with the battery cap, you adjust the spring loaded bit inside the battery so it fits to the battery perfectly. All in all, a very nice piece of German engineering and appears to have the armour rating of a panzer.

Good morning, all. I am sitting frustrated with the eVic. I finally found two versions of coils that work very well in the Kaynfun 3.1, but one really chews the battery fast. The real draw back, though, is the time it takes to heat the coil. The eVic has what appears to be a 2.8 Amp limit. So, I am hoping that someone can confirm a few items in the Semovar spec.

Has anyone verified that it can operate down to 1.0 Ohms? I am also wondering about the 3.5 Amp rating- has anyone tried to get the full 15 Watts at either 1.0 or 1.2 Ohms? It should be able to maintain 3.9 Volts at 1.0 Ohms, and 4.24 at 1.2... If the little guys can do that, I am going to have to spring for one pretty soon.

Oh... the armor rating... the bevelled adapters remind me of the Panther G. I guess the standard cap is more of a Tiger I. That 14mm adapter would look nice with a Kayfum Mini.
