Sorry to hear about your E3 problems. I've been lurking in hopes that you would find a solution.

Sending it to Germany sounds scary as described, but it guess that's the best shot you have. Keep us informed as to your results, cause it may happen to any or all of us sooner or later.

I've had the same error a few times before and as you, cleaned and clicked and pressed buttons and hit it I'm my palm and just as I came close to giving up, it just majically started working.

I've bought 3 more used Provari's since my two Semo purchases...... Though I love my Semo's for the looks and light weight, the Provari's are the clear winner to me.

I've been enjoying a little vapor shark dna 30 but only for the size. As you Know, I stay around the 3.5 to 3.7 watt arena so I really don't need more or less power, although I do like a 1 ohm coil and that can be pissy with the old Provari's at times. Lol

My new Semo arrived today. I've been busy, so I haven't taken the time to contact SmokerStore and get an RMA and send the E3 one to them, but I do plan to do that. Less then $75 plus shipping is what I expect, and will do. Over $100, probably not, at this point. Over $100 I probably buy another Eye or wait for the Provari 3, or even the Titanium Provari is calling/pulling me hard, atm! I like it. I want it. I think I must need it. We shall see. Either way, it's not a today project. I will keep ya'll posted on the final resolution.

Considering the durability and ease of working on the Provari, I would give it a slight edge. I like the many bling possibilities with it as well. But as my first high-end VW device, the Semo takes that race, and that's why I wanted the Semo, and not some cheap China chipset with inaccurate modulated pulse whatever. With the exception of the eVic, the China chipsets leave a lot to be desired, imho.

Now that the Eye is out there, and it's not perfect either, I like it over the Semo, and will buy another before I buy another Semo, for certain. The Semo with the kayfun 3.1 in hybrid mode is an RTA setup that is very hard to beat. Then again, I have two now, one needing repair, so how many does one need of these high-end regulated devices to be safe and happy? Suppose it varies by vaper. But my magic number is about five or six, which is what I have now. Also, would I buy a P2.5 Titanium and then a P3? I don't know....NOT today.

I believe you were referring to volts above at 3.5 to 3.7. I will quickly add 2.5 to ohms to get my volts which puts me in the 11/12 watt range most of the time on the Provari's. I use the Semo and Eye in VW mode and find it easier to use with frequent Taifun GT tank changes during the day. Best, Mr. Bond!

Yeah, thanks! I was told that the thread is in the top three most active threads on ECF now. Surprising, but really helpful to the vapers wanting to make juice.

As for the Semo..I don't know why, but everything I vape tastes better and fuller with the Semo in VW mode..this is the case vs. the Provari too albeit the difference is marginal.

BTW..anybody in here knows where to get the Kayfun Hybrid Adapter in the US?

Got my new Semovar kit two days ago..with the sticker, all tube and top cap sizes, and I kept the Kayfun hybrid connection that I already had for my old Semo

Ethermion..I got it from a fellow Semovarian (Jcusmc) through the classifieds..really cool guy. The atty is a Taifun GT (ahem..clone by HCigar) and it sits beautifully on top of the Semovar. The drip tip however is the Kayfun 5.1 drip tip, which I prefer to the TGT drip tip. I was going to get the Kayfun mini that he's also offering. But after getting the Semovar kit, a Futura, and a second Provari mini for the wife, all in a timespan of 10 days, I realized that madness should have a limit ))

But this raises a question...seriously guys...what's the number of Semovars that can be considered sufficient to be owned by a single person? I sold my old one to a guy in Cairo only after I had the new one in my hand..tried and tested and performing beautifully. And my fingers are itching to call him and tell him that I want my Semovar back

A sufficient number of samovars is however many you want. For me, they are my only tube mods, and I want a backup. I have two mechanical bottom feeders, but I seem to favor the simplicity of a Kayfun on a regulated tube. To that end, I feel comfortable with 2 semos. But, since you seem to have quite the collection of mods (more than me), I don't see why you would need more semos unless you were to unload some of your other mods. I kept to semos so that I can share parts & accessories between them, which may or may not be important to you or others.

But, most importantly, the darn thing is like a pacifier to me. Always in my mouth. As long as I don't smoke, I take the money I saved and plow it back into vape toys. After having bought lots of SM stuff, my wallet is still ahead.

Though, to be honest, I keep worrying that my next semo purchase will be days before they unveil something new...

Psst. Intaste.de has stickers in stock. They also have a five pawns edition kfl+. The 5 pawns KFL has a pawn shaped drip tip, a different top cap, and a shorty tank that is a bit (just a bit) taller than the stock shorty tanks. I got two last week, and they are nice. And the 5 pawns KFL is cheaper than 5 pawns juice...

The Semovar has been cloned and it's based on the Special edition that was only avail in Russia in the style of " Tetris" the game.

They say it will be avail soon And guess it to be in the 80 to 100 dollar range which included all tubes and three caps ( but not the hybrid)

They boast that they actually copied the chipset. Who knows ....
