The seem ovary claims to be a "provari killer", how old is the ProVari? And how long have companies been coming out with new mods to "kill" it? It's time to move on and be on a complete different standard other than trying to kill the provari. Also I'm sure once provape is convinced that their provari is going down in sales due to a new APV they'll come out with a new APV of their own and will most likely be on top again. Good thing is when this happens, all current provari owners will only have to pay about under $50 for an upgrade

You like Cadillac, I like Lincoln. No biggie. I bought the Semovar because:
1) It has VV and VW.
2) It takes flat top batteries, of which I have many.
3) It has reverse battery protection.
4) I like the look better.
5) I like the option for the sticker.
6) There is a long, long rumored mech option. It would be great to have a mech without buying a whole new mod.
7) The owners manual references a kick extension, though I have no idea if that will ever happen. I want that too.
8) I don't have to send it in for an upgrade. I just removed the Nivel board for cleaning session. A cinch to swap out.
9) My wife is Russian.
10) My last name is German.
11) It is the perfect match for my Kayfun, which I am thoroughly enjoying.

If you are happy with your Provari, I am happy you are happy. I am happy with my Semovar, and I am happy that I am happy.

As for ovary claims, I cannot speak to that. I have no ovaries.

The Semovar is not a Provari killer, and few people that own both would say so. I don't know anyone that says their Semo is a Provari killer, so I'm not sure where this got started. I know that Phil/Pete/Paul/P Busardo said so, then rolled his eyes, but that's just theater, not an actual review. The Provari is certainly not as better device than the Semo, and if you like VW, there are few tube APV's, if any, that compare to it. I got the Semo to ADD vw to my high end vaping. I don't need variable wattage, but I do use my Semo in vw mode, and my Provari in vv mode. I use the Provari about 3/4 of the time, the Semo the other 1/4, but that's because I keep the Semo in hybrid mode with my 3.1, and vape the Provari with a Taifun, and I prefer the Taifun a wee bit more to the K. I find both toppers and both APV's to be excellent and the world is a better place for all four devices. My two cents. YMMV.

We need a dedicated Semovar thread. Lots of great info floating around in numerous threads.

Anyway, I was curious about this end cap. Is this the cap supplied only with the V3? The only other one I have seen is with the CE logo.

From what I hear this is the end cap Putin has? ;)

Post: #17RE: Semovar owners, battery life input required please.
I'll share a little info here. We have been supporting the Semovar for nearly 9 months now. I've had a few reports and even folks send their device in for testing with this poor battery life issue. Each and every time I've not been able to recreate the problem on my end and it wasn't until it actually started happening to one of mine here recently that I figured out the root cause, the bottom cap. It didn't look dirty and really needed to be fully disassembled and cleaned out from the under side of the post/spring setup. My run times are back to normal. See folks were sending in their switch part and I would use my own end cap, tube and atomiser on for testing.

One can measure the voltage drop on the device simply by going into the menu, selecting Battery Voltage and push the firing button, you'll get two readings, one without the button press and one with, the difference being the voltage drop. If you see more than about .2v difference there you'll need to do some maintenance/cleaning/tightening. The Semovar having those vents on the end cap can trap pocket lint, dirt etc. and that can lead to loss in the end cap.

Another place the device can begin to loose power is just under the white plastic part on the positive side of the battery, there is a screw under there for the negative side of the board that can sometimes work its way loose.

I think I'll be doing a video shortly showing folks how to maintain their device properly to get the best from it. The beauty of the Semovar is you can take it completely apart and clean even inside the switch housing, something you really can't do with other VV devices.

Nice one Zero!

So after reading the posts on voltage drop, I checked mine and there was a difference of something like .5 volts. Now, having no clue what this means or how it may change the already great vape I'm getting, I proceeded to extend the contact in the "Putin" cap a tad, and now I only have a .1 drop. So, in my case it was a battery contact issue.

I still don't understand the voltage drop thing....probably because when it comes to electricity, I truly suck.

Anyone care to put it in layman's terms for me.

Just got this email if anyone wants 10% off @ C9V I wonder what other changes Svoemesto have planned? Better battery cut off? Firmware revision change? Anyone got any info? I will reply to the thread when I get back to terra firma tomorrow ;)

After some thought I think I would like a Vari but I won't be paying the full retail price I can't justify that but there are always folk here in the UK selling them I might get a mini for out and about and I keep reading battery life is the best and that is really important for me. I'm waiting for my small DNA 30 box mod and reckon it will burn the Lipo fast!

Save 10% on the SvoëMesto SM-V3 Semovar

SvoeMesto are making slight changes to the engraving on the Semovar, so we are reducing our remaining stock by 10% to clear them before the next batch comes in. If you have been on the fence about this device this is your chance to make a saving, or pick up a second whilst it's on special offer.
No coupon required, and the 10% reduction is available on both the SM-V3 Semovar Mod Base Kit, and the SM-V3 Semovar Mod Extended Kit.

Not bad, 858 posts before the arrival of a fanboy, possibly a record. Congrats to all the other posters.

Speaking of the sticker: Can anyone with one share their opinion? How does the control head line up? Display facing the battery? Display on one side, button on the other? Or, kinda random? Is it worth it? That's one question I have.

The other question, is where can a good American like me get one? Vaperev, no. Instaste.de, no. SvoeMesto.de yes, but no shipping to US. Shop.svoemesto.ru, yes, not sure I trust that - 2-4 weeks shipping for $15? Really?

Oh, slack the poor kid. He is just feeling inadequate. At least he figured out to remove the ovaries from his post. Maybe he is a surgeon. We should respect that.

Kinda new to this forum. First encounter with a fanboy. Quite the odd phenomenon.

I got mine from .de, other posts I have seen are by folks who have happily purchased stuff from .ru (no idea about shipping times though)

As with everything Semovar, you can adjust the sticker so the control head points in whatever direction you wants, if I remember you just remove the base, loosen the screw on the side the control head attaches to, then attach the control head and point it in the direction you want it to face, then tighten the screw again.

I'm trying to figure out the price convertion for USD. I think its $198 USD? That's not 10% off is it? Didn't someone say it was $206 shipped earlier?
