Probably right...but it comes at a price

I've got 8 minutes on my 18350 AW IMR. Voltage shows 3.7/3.6 either way. Just tested.
For there to be a true test, someone is going to have to read the voltage to more that a tenth of a volt. The Semovar doesn't round up, meaning if it's 3.79, it will read 3.7. Or, it could be 3.81, and read 3.8. That leaves quite a bit of "room" for voltage readings.

Even though there is voltage drop?

Everything(like this type of device) has voltage drop. There is no way around it. And to answer your question, yes...I can deal with a little voltage drop. I've got much more pressing things to worry about, lol! Don't we all!

Hee hee hee...I agree...but our obsession with voltage drop seems incurable. The REO people and the hard core mech users and now us..are all preoccupied with this central problematic in the vaping tradition

I mean, it's fun to play around and argue about...but at the end of the day, I just want a quality device that works when I press the button. My Semovar and my Provari do just that! I'm partial to the Semovar though(don't tell the Provari people that!).

Did you ever get your DigitalSteam.ee order? Hopefully you have had some luck in your life.

Finally...the order I placed with DigitalSteam.ee is here..of course I had to pick it up from the local post office..the guy had to open the whole mail bag to dig out my parcel :)) But I got collector tank, 18mm top cap, 18500 tube..all beta finished..and a Kayfun Provari ring which turned out to be a bit of a disappointment since there's still a tiny hair like gap between the KF 3.1 and the ring..and the KF is slightly smaller in diameter (not noticeable until you use the ring).

So yes..Digitalsteam.ee is reliable..but it takes forever for the mail to leave estonia and arrive to your country. They don't ship by courier..just the regular post office.

I'm getting between 6 and 16 minutes on my brand new purple Efest 18350s. If there is some logic to the difference, I am clueless. I'm in the house all day, temperature is the same, 9W, display=2, no led on the button, spring facing the battery, microcoil at 1.3ohms - which has not been changed in months. All I do is untwist the battery cap, and slide in a new one. I marked my batteries, and the issue does not track with the battery.

My charger displays two digits after the decimal, so maybe I can start tracking that. Not sure what I would learn from that...

The good news is that them there little batteries charge a whole lot faster than they discharge in the mod.

Oh, well. My KFL+ is now two weeks, at least, on the same rayon. That, makes me happier than long battery life. Much rather change a battery than a wick or a coil. And if I have to travel out in the scary wide world, an 18650 still gives me between a full day and two full days.

And, then there is the sticker...

I've got four 18350 batteries, 2x red efest (crap, and light weight as in not very heavy), 1x red aw and 1x purple efest (the heaviest weight wise). I have not done a timing test (that I remember). BUT: while I'm no fan of efest batteries, based on my unscientific testing and experience, the purple efest is the only one I'd buy again (or buy more of).

I've seen a bunch of weird brand 18350 batteries on one of the flashlight battery source websites (which I cant remember right now, but I think I posted a link to one of them earlier in this thread?) but have no experience with them. I wonder if any of those unknown (to us) brands might get better results?

Flashlight information

Not sure after perusing the site that I see anything better than the purple Efest for 18350s. But, it is a hard site to read. Wish he just said buy this one, and not that one. I have the sneaky feeling that he would say don't by any 18350s. They all seem to be more than 1/2 the size of an 18650, but around a 1/4 the capacity.

Though, not quite clear his preferences in 18500 and 18650s either.

For me, if it does not say Sony, LG, Samsung or Panasonic, it isn't a real battery.

AW IMR 18350's constantly give me 14 or 15 minutes, 1.6 ohm microcoil 28 gauge kanthal, 3.8 volts, button light only.

Okay, okay. Be like that. One more post like that, and I am sending you my sticker. I will have your 18350 times down to 15 seconds.

Jeez. Tough crowd. No sympathy at all.
