Question.

I have a kayfun v1 that won't sit flush on my semovar. Even if I take out the screw of the top cap it won't screw on further than half way. What could be the issue? Vapes fine but there is a huge gap
Do other atties fit ok? Sounds like its cross threaded? Does the kayfun sit level?

That doesn't sound right. Do other atty's fit without a gap?

My mini kayfun sits flush so do my zenith v2 cyclone and really anything else. The v1 authentic sits flush on any other mod but the semovar. I am literally about to punch a wall as it really upsets me lol.

I basically bought the v1 simply for that reason to sit on my semovar and it won't screw down even if I take the pin of the top cap out completely

Second picture is without the pin of the top cap. What you see is the center pin of the kayfun. I am at a loss

I have not found ANY of my atty's NOT fit flush on the semovar (that I can remember), I usually have that problem with my Futura and have to adjust the 510 set screw with an allen key (which I hate). The my authentic KFL+ fits flush, 3.1 flush in 510 mode, 3.1 in hybrid mode sits flush but the logo is always a little off where I think it should be, but no gap. Even my fogger v4 fits flush.

Just out of curiosity, you did try to adjust the 510 pin in the cap of the semovar right?

Can we see a picture of the threads on the atty?

Thanks for your time on this issue phone guy.

First of all to answer your question, yes I have adjusted the pin of the top cap and even taken it out fully and it won't screw on flush and just gets stuck at one point.

So here comes the point where it gets more odd. A friend of mine who actually introduced me to the semovar came by tonight with his Kayfuns and mod. It seems like the threadin on mine is a lil different than his kayfun v1. Maybe mine is one of the very very first runs? Idk. But here comes the fun part that I can't wrap my head around.

My kayfun sits flush on his top cap!!! It's still a lil unwilling to screw on with ease but it's flush on his cap. He was kind enough to swap caps with me and now we have one sexy look with nano kayfun v1 and the semovar in 350 mode just fantastic.

Thanks for the help though and I would still love to know what in the world the issue here was.

So his atty on your cap = flush.
your atty on his cap = flush.
his atty on his cap = flush.
BUT: your atty on your cap = gap.

If swapping caps made you both happy, problem solved. (I guess). The only thing I can think of is your KF threads might be longer than the rest of the atty's you use, including your friends, and you might be hitting a rough thread down towards the end of your original cap? Maybe forcing might have cleared any obstruction, burrs, or whatever? I dunno.... but hey, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

To me it seems obvious a set of threads someone in YOUR items has an issue, that maybe is so small it only happend with that 1 combination... a little uneven threading on the atty combined with a little uneven threading on the cap simply resulted in no joy. But again, if all are happy, you both win.

I've checked tonight, a couple drippers, all fit flush, kayfun authentics and clones, all flush, fogger v4 flush... I could make everything I had near me work. I dunno.

Crisis situation..help needed: can't unscrew the hybrid adaptor from my kayfun. What complicates matters is that the adaptor is narrow and doesn't have enough space to exert force to unscrew it and its threads are really sharp and nicked my fingers.

Rubber gloves for cleaning with chemicals around the house. Ask your wife or mommy.

Works a treat, cannot damage the metal, and no nicked fingers.

I am 100% serious.

If you like the nano kit, consider picking up a short M-tank. It works with the stock chimney, is all clear so you can see your juice level, and looks great on a semo in 18350 mode. I was doing that for two months or so, quite happily.

Left is short d22, center is d23, right is standard length.

Left tank has a puzzle drip tip assembly without a puzzle body. Nano drip tip, nano tank, on a nano mod looks good, and pockets very nicely.

The 510 cap is also available separately, but you might have to hunt a bit to find someone to ship to the USA. If you want to make your apparently good buddy whole, that is.

Another thing that works great are wide rubber bands. The ones that are 1/4-3/8 inch wide are nice to keep in the travel bag.

Yup that is pretty much accurate. Everything sits flush on my cap other than this kayfun and this kayfun sits flush on his (now mine) cap. Not a big fan of forcing something but I went that way yesterday and ending up having to use tools to get the top cap off the kayfun so that didn't work out so well either haha.

Super happy now since he was so kind to swap caps now I just need to buy the new end cap svoemesto came up with which I'll pick up when I get to Germany next week.

Thanks for the help

So what are your thoughts on the v2 kayfun lite plus? That was actually my first kayfun and I hated it as I always got a burned taste from it. Bought a kayfun mini which is fantastic and the v1/s work flawless but this v2 always caused me issues.

My buddy (cap exchanger lol) owns a ton of kayfuns and even he has to tweak things here and there to make the v2 work. Just a bad egg in the basket or do you guys feel the same?
