Smok Tech Nickel Mess DCT cart

We just got these into the store, they are not the greatest in my opinion, just like JJ said, I really really REALLY want to like these because priming carts is annoying. But the simple fact of the matter is if you line up a Cartomizer with the meshomizer and I had you hit both I almost guarantee you would pick the cartomizer. Way too restricted airflow to get a good satisfying vape and I feel it has a hard time wicking my fluid, keep getting a burnt dripping atty or hot spot genesis taste. If I dry hit a few time till it gurgles it seems to give me one nice hit of genesis rivaling flavor then it just goes back to the hard to draw on pretty meh taste for awhile. I would give this a 7/10 all 7 points being in creativity lol. Make the carto not flanged at the bottom so we can put into any tank we want and I think we might have a shot with this one.

True. That's why I decided to punch one more hole. Then it flooded badly. I've been in this situation with other new products. Experience has taught me to just give up or wait for someone to find a good fix.

I've gone one of the Bauway SS mesh cartomizers. Not the SmokTek cartomizer, but the one that looks like a CE4 with FOUR holes, two sets placed vertically. It's....kinda frustrating. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I followed the advice for the product on Stormy's site and got a huge leak out of the bottom. Cleaned that up (lost maybe .5ml of juice) refilled, dried everything up, and let it sit for an hour to see if it leaked anymore. It did not.

So, onto a Spinner. Started low (it was supposedly a 1.8Ohm) and got a nice blast of flavor and vapor, quickly followed by that horrible burnt taste. Took a primer pull. Same thing. Seems to only work if you take REALLY short drags. But again, maybe I'm doin' something wrong. Would not be the first time!

One more update. I dug through my stash and found the thinnest liquid I had. Bauway USA Mix, which looks like straight PG but I'm not sure. Anyway, it vapes very well in the meshomizer. The vape is warm with good flavor, vapor, and throat hit.

Update - after switching to a very thin liquid, my first meshomizer is still vaping like new after 3 weeks. None of that "carto clogging" I would normally have with a carto. These meshomizers may not be perfect, but with the right liquid they work very well.

I picked one of these up at the local vape shop yesterday, got the 1.5ohm dual coil version. So far I really like it, it worked well with the juice I also got there unknown pg/vg ratio. That juice is thinner than my DIY 60pg/40vg that I make. I ran about 3ml of the unknown ratio juice through it with no problems, then cleaned it out and put in some of my DIY stuff. With the thinner juice it primed quickly and worked great from the start. With my thicker juice it took about 1ml or so through it before it was primed good. After getting it primed with the thicker juice it is working great again. It has a nice flavor which is pretty close to my brigeless 510 atty. It is really chewing through the juice with no leaking. Just using it in a small Smoktech tank. It should last for a while and if it does I will defiantly be grabbing a few more of these.

A little bit of an update. I ran about 40ml through my Dual Coil 1.5ohm version and one of the coils popped on me. It still worked good until then and had great flavor. It lasted me 11 days and I call that a good like IMHO. I took it apart to see how it worked looks like a ceramic cup and it is set up just like a 510 atty. I did manage to rebuild it with a 1.5ohm single coil and a little bit of cotton for a wick, as I don't have or use silica in my rebuilds. It is still working great with my new coil but the build was a little pit of a PITA and I ended up breaking the ceramic cup a little (might have been the fiddling I was doing trying to set it up as a Dual Coil again).

I now have 5 Pyrex DCT in the mail and plan to get more of these to use in them. My evods may end up getting retired, something I never thought I would say.
