Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, but have been vaping for the last 5 years. I've been happy with my antiquated Prodigy V3, but am looking into upgrading to a VV or VW device. I've been looking into the smok Tech SID as it's touted as the "Vamo Killer" by some credible video reviewers on You Tube. I'm looking for any advise to help me decide the right device. I've also looked at the iTaste and any other device I can find a video review for. I'm not confused, but just don't have the experience with the advanced mods. Does anybody have side-by-side experience with these devices that can point me int the best direction? It does not matter if it's single or multiple button control.

You have to b e careful with not screwing tanks down to far on the vamo's 510 connection but you can force the center post down on most systems including egos if you over tighten other than that none that I'm aware of. The ability to stack batteries gives the vamo the edge in a high power situation but they both pretty much do the same thing another apv in the same price range is the innokin svd that's what I'm adding to my collection next very solid stainless steel device with vv/vw it telescopes for 1 18650 or 2 18350's

Madvapes and Viper Vape among others have the short tubes for the SiD, making it 18350/18500/18650 flexible. I prefer the SiD because it has a removable top ring and is lighter overall. My only dislike about the SiD is that, at least on mine, the display is very dim, making it difficult to see in sunlight. It still gets off the bench far more often than the Vamo, though.

I'm going to throw out a vote for the Itaste MVP. Great mod for someone new to VV. Very easy to use, integrated battery so no having to deal with changing or storing batteries, and comes with everything you need, besides juice, to start vaping out of the box. Another nice thing is you can use the box to charge other stuff which is very nice in a pinch. Only downside is it's limited to 5v but my sweet spot is 4.7v so it works great for me. I bought mine from Ivape dot com and they have very fast shipping and great customer service.

If you want to go that route the MVP 2 is going to be out next week I believe. It has a few improvements over the original MVP, the two most important being that it has the ability to tell you what the resistance of your attached atomizer is and that it now has a variable wattage option in addition to variable voltage.

I dont have a side by side comparison but i to was debating between vamo or sid. I ended up getting the sid. Guess which one i use the most out of my ego, sb, and sid? Its the sid! I use it 90%more than my other mod. I have a protank2 on it however im not feeling the air draw on it or than the air draw in the protank2 the sid is on of my all day mod to have so far. I will be looking into a iclear30 already have viv nova- its so so, protank beats the vivi.

I love my SID. My best friend has a vamo v2. I like that too. The rubberized grip and lighter weight sold me on the SID. I can't see how either is a bad choice. I do thing the ring on the top of the SID makes it look nicer than the vamo but that is opinion only.

The battery in my buddies vamo rattles a little. Nice tight fit in the SID. I have zero complaints but I would probably have zero complaints with a vamo either.

I have a k100 mech on the way and I'm eyeing the zmax mini too. Unlimited choices with this hobby. It never gets boring. That's for sure.

Ok guys, thanks for all the great input! What I'm getting is that they're both great and solid performers with multiple configurations that support battery wants/needs. So, last question: Should I just buy both, through them in the air and see which one lands in my hands to vape first? Lol. My vape budget is probably limited to just one this time, but as we all know, the next "great thing" will always be the one you don't currently own!

I'm also thinking of getting an RSST and start rocking two new worlds at once. Does this change anybody's opinion of the SID vs. Vamo? I'm not a sub-ohmer yet and have a Prodigy V3 if I ever decide to try that route.
