Smoke free hotels and vaping

Watchout for the smoke detectors, if you blow clouds near them they will go off... Other then that it's your call..

Of course you could ask them but I understand they will probably say no. Since I don't vape nicotine I would probably be fine vaping in a hotel if I was in my room and not in everybody's face. And yes definitely watch out for the smoke detectors, could keep a window open and some ventilation.

The main room may be detector rigged.

I'm going to be nervous if I ever decide to do this. Lol. Maybe I'll just stick to outdoors.

Yup, the shower cap trick always works for me.

I just vape outside or voop style with the exhaust fan on.
But my tootle puffing is not likely to cause the smoke alarm to go off.

2: Smoke free hotel:
(a) short answer: No.
(b) long answer: exercise some tact and judgement.
(c) you could just ask - then refer to (b) above, if necessary.

The wife and I stay at hotels often and we always vape. I've never attempted to blow any serious clouds in the rooms tho...and she just uses an istick and an iclear30b. I save my sub ohm stuff for outside or where smoking is accepted but I've never had a problem with using my Nautilus or Aerotanks in hotels. Love the shower cap trick, tho, Brilliant. Just don't go crazy and you should be fine. Some smoke detectors can be set off by vapor so just use discretion.

When I was still pretty new to vaping, we stayed in an inexpensive motel in central PA. While checking in, I asked about where I could vape - newbie mistake, I know. But the desk clerk was so excited to meet a vaper, she said: "OMG, my boyfriend vapes! I love the smell of Monkey Juice! Go ahead and vape anywhere! It's fine!"

Despite this positive response, I did end up vaping in the bathroom with the fan on, since the rooms were small and at that point, I was still vaping a tobacco-ish juice that the husband didn't like.

I've never set off a hotel smoke detector by vaping. No one ever know you've been vaping in a hotel room unless you tell them.

Don't exhale directly at the detector. Blow down. Cooler vapor will fall. I don't like the dishonest approach but... you could say you took a shower with the bathroom door open. Nobody can say different.

I've been vaping for years, and spent a LOT of time in hotels as work put me on the road a lot. Unless you're cloud-chasing, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've never had a problem.

Technically, the smoking ban in hotel rooms is due to fire hazards and the bloody stench that simply can't be removed without steam cleaning the whole room! I've stayed in seven different hotels in the last six weeks, vaped in every one of them with no issues. You'll note that most hotel rooms have the detectors set above or very near the bed. If the window opens a crack, I vape near the window and just avoid vaping in bed! The bathroom is also an excellent spot, although not one I'd like to spend the evening in vaping! Good luck!

Bathroom for me as well. Hell, if I can get the angle of the tv & mirror just right I could vape away until my legs fall asleep.

I'm going on a mini vacation in July. Myself and two other vapors. We booked a non smoking room, believe you me, we will be vapeing. I was just reading a thread about someone who set off a fire alarm in a hotel room while vapeing. That's where I first saw the inspired idea of the shower cap! We talked about it, that's our plan! I really don't see a party of three huddled together in a hotel bathroom

We just spent the weekend at a hotel for my sons soccer tourney. Both of us vaped in the hotel room. my wife vapes cotton candy and me both Hangsen cola and desert ship and we had no issues. We just left the room with a sweeter smell than when we got there. Blow the vape downward, don't need to make clouds and all's well.

I vape in my hotel rooms all the time. I have never had any problems.
