Hmmmm.... Wouldn't traveling with a candle solve all of this?

Alarm goes off, light the candle.

Are candles banned? If not, is wanting a wee bit of romance wrong.... when traveling alone? ;)
Lol. I used to stay in hotels a LOT for work, and I always took a travel candle with me because I hated the funky smell of most hotel rooms.

carry a can of air freshener.... once the alarm goes off spray some in the air, manager smells air freshener and your excuse is you sprayed too close to alarm sensor... :)

And immediately start commenting about strange odors in the room when you arrived, this will even the playing field ... :sneaky:

Oh, and don't forget to take the toilet paper when you leave. Haven't bought any TP in years ... :D

Depends on the class of hotel - I'd often take my own TP with me because I don't like wiping with 40 grit...

I had one alarm go off on me in my room @ 11:30 pm. I was so scared thinking that they are hard wired in and everyone would be running out. Needless to say it was just in my room. The hotel manager finally came to the desk where their main board was beeping and I told her it was me. I had accidently blew my vape right up at the detector as I was playing a game on my tablet. The nice thing is that the main board just had 2 types of warnings. One for Fire and the other for Trouble. Trouble was the one blinking. :D She just told me to remember NOT to blow it directly at it. Love that place. I then just switched over to lay on the bed that didn't have the detector over. ;) That was when I hit my flavored juice. Most of the time I just use Unflavored. Never had a problem with Unflavored but also never blew the Unflavored vape at the detector.

Grocery bag and a rubber band usually works great for me. That way if there really is a fire, it will melt through the thin bag and still go off.

ummmm wouldnt that be like ... a day late and a dollar short type of thing??? ;)
if its got to get that hot to melt the bag....

Lol I suppose but if you aren't there and something happens at least it will work! That's the first thing I did when I moved into my new apartment a month ago haha

From what I've been told is that fire alarms only go off if moisture is detected. Now, i have no idea if thats true or not, but the person who explained this to me is infact a sort of, genius. So surely its true. Maybe, the new juice has distilled water or alcohol in it? I dunno.
Not sure about the genius part, but Smoke is made of up small particles, gases and water vapor. Water vapor makes up the majority of smoke. The remainder includes carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, irritant volatile organic compounds, air toxics and very small particles.
The problem here is that detectors don't know if it's smoke or hairspray nor your vape, pretty much anything that can float in the air can and will trigger the sensor ............
Best Smoke Detector: Ionization, Photoelectric Or Dual Sensor?
