I've never been in a hotel where Windows don't open but I'm UK

Plus we have those over here that will try to take advantage of a window that opens to actually smoke a cigarette.

A lot of ground floor windows do open though. It also depends on the hotel chain.

The windows in both hotels were non-opening. They were on the gulf coast of Texas where the humidity is always very high and the AC is always on.

I always look for ways to minimize the effects of vaping in hotels and rental cars.
