Smoke free hotels and vaping

Remember back when you could smoke in hotel rooms and the smoke alarms didn't go off? It takes a surprising amount of steam or smoke to make the alarms react. I've been told that there are different kinds of alarms, with different triggers, but they all have to allow for steam from showers which produce bigger clouds than your ecig.
