same here, and if it weren't for ECF I would never have done it, I find twitter annoying. (except for practical applications like this)

I find it annoying too, and facebook is worse IMO, but like you, except for practical applications, I was reluctant to join too, until I found that info shared there was more feasible than the info that the Media in my country spread, now even the media goes to twitter to see what is going on about violence in real time.

P.S. Please share with us your Twitter, this way we can follow eachother, here is mine: Lithium (Lithium1330) on Twitter

Here you go Jim:

Regulations.gov

Regulations.gov

Also, for future reference, they can be found on CASAA's home page.

Thank you, finally found how to get to the responses and saw I wasn't there so I resubmitted a response, copied the submit code and posted on the other thread. I also submitted to the July 22nd requested petition since I didn't do that the first time, but they got me p.....

There probably should be a stick thread about this because I'm sure that many of the responses somehow got lost. Not to say conspiracy, but just bad administration......... I guess.

I only read this section of the forum. I'll post it here. In my General Physicians office today we were discussing my success with the E-cig. She made a comment about the FDA, requiring Analogs to be "burn free" by 20xx. By burn free she indicated "if the cigg is dropped on the floor, it will go out". Supposedly the new paper has a powered glass content, when cooled clumps. "In the lungs!". I have no paper or research to back this. Only what my Dr. Told me. Anybody else hear this?

Harold--Yes, fire ......ed paper was mandated and already is in place in most States--It made many Analogs taste strange. More chemicals and no long term studies on this, but it is just fine with the FDA.

Talk about a double standard.

I'll have to check and see if my comments actually made it past the gauntlet....I'm guessing they did not.

I THINK I saved it to my computer, tho...I'll have to go look.

Mine didn't. I wonder if we need to pick an organization. I was surprised to even see that field. Isn't it citizen comments? shouldn't they just be comments from citizens? Didn't see why you had to put an organization, just shows how much power organizations have with the Gov these days over just the average voter.

Ill just keep posting till it gets through.

Regarding the FDA petition... this is what I posted:

The smoking alternative, referred to as an e-cigarette, has an inherent value of reducing the number of cigarettes smoked by individuals who use tobacco products. This benefit alone would justify the smoking alternative as a product that is in keeping with tobacco harm reduction strategies and tobacco control policy. Adding restrictions or putting in obstacles to a tool that many use to prevent tobacco usage seems unethical and dangerous to a population that one professes to want to protect. Please allow this valuable alternative to remain on the market as a viable replacement option to users of tobacco products. Thank You

Thanks for the links!

It is the FSC (fire safe cig??) cigs that first made me start looking into Ecigs. The taste horrible and do not burn correctly. They constantly go out and tunnel. Nothing that I can prove but they caused me more problems with my throat than normal cigs by far. And they are NOT safer as far as fire goes. The cherry will tunnel into the paper then reappear....if a drag is taken at this point the top heavy cherry will fall off and burn away. Much more hazardous in my opinion. And yet even Philip Morris supported these FSC cigs.

Regarding the comments on the AAPHP petitions to FDA that fell into the "bit bucket"...

Please contact the FDA Division of Dockets Management at 301-827-6860 to inquire
about the status of your comment and let them know that you want yours to be published.

Document numbers are FDA-2010-P-0095 and FDA-2010-P-0093

In the future, do not select "Individual Consumer" as the "Submitter Category". FDA is "protecting the privacy" of individual citizens who leave comments by not publishing them. One category that will work just fine is "Consumer Group - B0003".
