On another thread somewhere I was discussing that a lot of e-cig suppliers are telling the public that E-cigarettes are a good way to quit smoking etc. And a few people were telling me that is not true or whatever.

I can see why the FDA is getting fuel to harass us. If you look at some of the ads all over the internet by smoking everywhere, they are making very radical claims. One Ad I just saw on some website from them said, "QUIT SMOKING NOW with bla bla" "100 percent healthy alternative!"

How could they really make that claim so openly. 100 percent healthy? I mean do we really agree with them making such a statement? I personally think they are wrong for making that claim. That is not having our best interests in mind either. Thats being no better than the FDA. No one knows if these things are 100 percent healthy. We just use our common sense to suggest that they are HEALTHIER than cigarettes. But I think they are being ridiculous to make that claim.

Yeah that was my thoughts as well. They are not doing us any favors making claims like that. Just the fact that it has nicotine makes the statement 100 percent, false. NOTHING is 100 percent safe rofl.

SE has done a lot of harm both to consumers and by making false claims. Just their name is enough to get the nannys in a dither. Making the claim that you can smoke these anywhere will bring major opposition to our cause.

I think that E-cig companies and e-cig users using these devices to side-step or avoid the anti-smoking laws does alot of harm.
The only places I use e-cigs that I didnt before are in my house and in my car.
Everywhere else I use them as I used cigarettes.
I go outside or into a designated "smoking room" (which I actually now avoid because they ... stink).
I do this out of respect for those that dont want to be around me when I vape.
Now I know that its harmless (relatively), but most non-smokers do not and I dont want to add any "fuel to the fire" of the anti-smoking brigade.

By using e-cigs anywhere/everywhere to circumvent anti-smoking laws is just thumbing your nose and sticking your tongue out at them effectively saying "HaHa! I can do this here and you cant stop me!"
Its really making more trouble for us than we need.

paladinx, I suggest you provide a link if you are going to be making potentially slanderous claims like that.

Look, I've long since made my share of posts slamming SE for their marketing and pricing strategies and customer service. But as far as I know, they do not claim that their product is 100% safe, nor that it is for smoking cessation.

Perhaps you were looking at some other seller's or reseller's site, but you sure ought to observe a modicum of care to be accurate in posting!

Here is their official site, so you can see for yourself:

Electronic Cigarette by Smoking Everywhere E-Cigarette

Please dont say that. I am not a touchy person, But I know what I saw. I never said it was on their main site. I said I have seen ads from them on other sites, And it says QUOTE 100 percent healthy, END QUOTE. Why would I lie?

I didn't say you lied. I said you were not taking care to be accurate, nor posting a link so that others could verify the accuracy of what you were saying!

There are hordes of unscrupulous marketers out here on the internet, many of whom care not a whit about the kinds of claims they are making, only about making money. Some of them might be resellers of SE products. You may well have seen ads created by some of them. We can't tell though can we, since you failed to provide a link.

I can tell you are an intelligent person and you like to be thorough etc., but the point is all the same to me i guess. I forgot what site i saw it on, but i found another one that i believe is linked to smokingeverywhere. cause its basically the same exact AD i saw before, but this time it links me to a different webpage.

Free Online Dating at Plentyoffish.com.

Plus I think that the ads keep changing, They must be rotating, T here are a few different e-cig ads that pop up.

here you are hun:

Electronic Cigarette by Smoking Everywhere E-Cigarette

somewhere in the webby it'll have your statement I'm sure.

Ladysolitary, that is the link to the official SE site, that I posted on page one of this thread - precisely to show that they do NOT make either of those two claims ascribed to them.

Note that now paladinx is saying he "believes" the ad he was talking about was linked to the SE site, but that "this time" it is linked to "a different webpage".

Hmm, rather proves my original point!

What paladinx is talking about are the banner ads Smoking Everywhere are placing on other web sites. I've seen several on sites I've visited, and they're just as he says.

The general belief among advertisers is that it's OK to put what ever you want in these ads as their not on the owners web site. Most of the time the company being represented doesn't even review the ads beforehand.

It's just a bunch of "Used Car" salesman making a buck and could care less if it's true or not.

correct... they are just a bunch of refers making that penny per click. they don't care if they lie, they only want that monthly check. actually i'd say they are worse than used car salesmen, atleast with the used car salesmen you leave with something. these banner ad decepticons only suck away our time and bandwidth.

end rant...

They do however claim one cart equals approximately one pack of cigarettes. Their cartridges are equivalent to about 3-4 cigs at best! And I'm quoting right off the link you posted and am ashamed to say I have one them on the shelf next to me now:
Smoking Everywhere E-Cigarette Cartridges:

The cartridges come in a pack of 5 and are available in four strengths:
High (16mg Nicotine)
Medium (11mg Nicotine)
Low (6mg Nicotine) and
Non (0mg Nicotine)

Each cartridge is equivalent to 20 traditional cigarettes.

The taste of the Smoking Everywhere cartridge resembles that of tobacco.

I hear this company advertising on Sirius XM 100 & 101. I get angry every time. No one believes their claims and they sound like snake oil salesmen.

they say, "we can't say they'll help you quit smoking, but (hundreds) quit everyday." or something to that effect.
A little while ago they also offered a "free" starter pack. I knew it was a scam but I called anyway (just in case i was wrong) and there was nothing free about it. The operator only wanted my credit card number and didn't know anything about the "free" promotion.

Bottom line --> don't trust this company any further than you can throw them.
