Smoktech Dual Coil Cartomizers

Agree they are nice.
Even working very well on a 3.2v battery...I'll never burn one at that voltage.
I'vE so far run 120 drops of vg fluid in em over and above the 75 drop initial fill. THIS ONE KEEPS GOING. I've been running it for nearly 3 weeks (mind you it's not my only vape)

I will give the Boge LR's a thumbs up on quality control, over the duallies, but given the option, I gravitate to the duallies.

Piggin at it.

Hope everyone that is having bad experiences with these actually knows how to fill a cartomizer.

I condom fill from the bottom first, then drip fill the top till it is fully saturated.

Filling a carto isn't that hard. I usually just put drops directly on the filler and let it soak and count about 50 or so. Some just don't work at all.

I condom fill really slowly, then fill from the top. They are deceiving, they hold a lot of juice! After that it's just a matter of topping off with 7-8 drops when it needs it. I have never had a dual coil fail, guess I'm just lucky!

Has anybody been using these with the Provari. I just got mine in the mail, and the first one has not gone so well. I am guessing it's because of the LR. It won't fire on 3.7 without an error, and had to dial it down to 3.3. It worked for a few minutes and than the error came back up. The lowest it goes is 3.3 and the error is still coming up. I really don't want to fill another one up and waste 50 drops of liquid if the same thing is going to happen. Just curious to see if other Provari users are having the same problem.

Thanks in advance.

I just recieved my first pack from COV today:) I filled one up and am letting it sit for a good long while before I try it.

Update: Been vaping my first carto for the past 3.5 hrs on my 5V GLV2. Absolutely no burning but I did start to notice a degredation of flavor after about the first 1.5hrs. Also, the flavor was a bit muted, as compaired to the same flavor in a V4L coolcart. Hopefully, the carto just needs to be broken in. I'll update as more time goes by.

MsO how often do you drip more juice into them? I'm using the Dual Coil cartos with my GLV2 5v. and if I hit it a couple of times and then try to hit it hard I get the bad taste. They seem to suckup the juice extremely fast. I don't know if the juice is burning or what but it's a terrible taste. I've tried 2 with different thicknesses of juice and I still get that bad taste after a few hits. Standard Boge 510 soft tips do alot better for me. Am I doing something wrong?

At 3.7v, a cartridge with an 801 copper tube atty i got in my SP2 kit gives x2 the vapor but is much cooler.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but at 3.7v these dual coils from madvapes aren't giving a lot of vapor. Taste is pretty good, and its warm.

At 6v they produce a lot of vapor, but isn't relevant due to the fact that i cant stand the heat and the taste. Tastes burnt and yucky. These are madvapes with a copper colored copper wire. AM i tasting gasses from the copper?

I want to order some more to try...to recap where are the best from? I want the coated ones naturally. I'm thinking about that Hoosiers 15 for $32 deal. And also would 1.25 ohms make it even hotter and burn more than 1.5 does?

*edit* apparently I have to pull harder than what I'm used to with my kr8 autos...VAPOR PRODUCTION @ 3.7 VOLTS = AMAZING!
@6v = still burning and yucky
nevertheless...these bare copper wires scare me. i don't know if they are clear coated, doesn't really look like it.

Could be a couple things, it could be that you have one that was put together incorrectly or something is not in the right place ect.. one other thing it could be is what you mentioned, the juice you are using could not like the combination of the voltage and the carto. I would try another carto and see if it changes and if it is the same burnt taste then I would try another one with another juice. Of course this is not the iideal way to figure it out since it is pretty wasteful but if you find one that works right, it is well worth it. Hopefully the qc gets taken care of cuz these things really are satisfying and do not burn half as easy as a normal carto. I am really really hard on cartos because of the way that I vape, I take really really long draws without much of a break between puffs so cartos do not usually wick fast enough to keep up but with the two coils it seems that the extra coil contact area is enough to keep up with me. Throat hit is better than most things I have tried and flavor is good, the thing that is lacking with the 4 I have tried is vapor production but I am more than fine with that trade off because I need a monster throat hit. So as you can see when these things work they are actually something to be excited about. Let us know what you figure out.

I was wondering about SmokTech... i see Madvapes has a number of different 901 attys (my favorite; reg. on the Provari)... and SmokTech was there with offerings of 2.0 and 2.8... anyone know these guys are different from DSE and how they compare?

I shall try some and throw in an order of ST cartos too... are they all LR?... OP says 1.5 and with Provari... worth a try.

Stownz.... thanks

I'm only capable of 3.7 and 6.0v. I've been using them since the 25th of last month, and I have to agree that the single most impressive thing about them is that they do not burn. You can chainvape the heck out of them and get them scorching hot with no burned taste. At 6v, they heat up extraordinarily quickly and deliver a lot of vapor. The flavor is excellent as well. The temperature of the vapor and the fact that these don't burn makes the experience very analog-like. At 3.7v, it takes a couple of pulls to get them hot, but they deliver at 3.7 too.

I only have 2 negatives I can mention with these cartos. I have one juice that doesn't produce much vapor in them. It is a 100% PG DK-TAB. I get flavor but hardly any vapor, so I think maybe these are just too hot for 100% PG. - The other mentionable negative is that these pop and spit quite a bit when freshly filled. I've had to put the silicone ring back in and put my drip tip on top of it to minimize having extremely hot juice occasionally hitting my tongue (with other cartos, I've just thrown away the ring and never had anything like that happen). - That problem more or less goes away after the first fill as the filler swells up a little.
I've been running dual coils from jerseyvapes for 1 week on various ego bateries with no problems. hey do sizzle and spit (even on refills. I threw away the plastic cap so i have gotten some hot juice uice spitting--other than that very solid performance. like a very warm (almost a tad too hot) boge 2.0. I haven't liked really low LRs (1.5) too hot--almost burnt--even dripping on a dewicked LR with no filling/wick to burn just juice)--but this is hot without burning--ok you experts how can that be?

my guess--the dual coils don't get as hot because with two you get so much production they never actually get a chance to fry the juice...you just can't vape fast enough. the master tester will have to get a mechanical vacuum to draw enough out of this to fry the juice--or have superhuman lungs.
