50 drops may not be enough and may run the top coil dry. I've gotten 80 drops but that was too much 70-75 seems right. They (the coils) are placed at the 1/3 points in the carto.
That said, I've yet to hear (read) of one burning though.

You got 80 drops in a Smoktech Dual coil Mega Carto?
Did you look for a puddle on the floor or table as it dripped out of the battery hole?

Somewhere between 70 & 75 seem to be the magic number.

Even that number I find interesting. I was told by the vendor that you can get about 52 drops in one. This was consistent with what I found when topping off after the flavor changed. NOT the first fill, so there is some wiggle room there.

I was able to get 54 drops on a top off, but with some leaking. Works out to be around 2.7 ml. I'm using the generally accepted standard of 20 drops per ml.

80 drops is closed to 4ml.

I did a quick & rough calc on the fluid capacity of the thing based on it's physical size and I come up with around 3.5 ml and that doesn't even allow for the space that the coils and filler take up.

I guess I'm just surprised that people are getting that much fluid in it and wondering if they're using the same cart I reviewed or if it's something different.

I just got in some Leo cartos that I'm going to be doing a review on. These things do hold 4 ml and they dwarf the dualies.

Was about to order some of these bad boys when I came across this post. My intention was to use them on a 380mah kr808 batt with a 808-510 adaptor. You're saying it won't work?

Works on mine, Ms. Ocean. Just tried it yesterday to see if it would on a Diamond Auto XL, freshly charged. And it does.

ETA: Just tested it on a year+ old manual V4L XL and the same age V4L auto regular (280 mah, I think) -- works on both. Don't know for how long it would work, but it did for a couple of draws on each just to test. I like it better on my Buzz, though :)

One more ETA: OK, I've played around with these on my 808s for an hour -- they work, but not very well. You get vapor and flavor but not very much. No TH whatsoever, especially as compared to the same voltage using the Buzz. Same carto/same juice used on all three devices. It is a very different vape on the 808s -- not one I can recommend. But I love it on the Buzz.

Capacity-- "Drops" isn't a good standard of measurement. And some of these have a little more filler than others. I filled one this morning that had filler to within 1 mm of the top. Most of them have had filler that stops about 2 or so mm from the top. Even though a little more filler means a few extra drops of liquid, I'd rather they were all the same and all had room to put the ring back in them and a drip tip on them. These things can pop and spit a little (and even more at 6.0v). The ring decreases the chances of getting a hot drop of juice shooting as far as my lip or tongue.

Anyway, I'm generally getting a little over 2ml in to them. I carry a few 3 ml bottles in my kit. A fresh fill leaves a little less than a ml in the bottle for a quick top off later.

I have no comment other than... I too must narfle the garthok. God I love that movie.... "The stench will be great"

Ok, and the 2ml makes sense too.

I'm saying I can't get it to work. I have a feeling the 808 batteries have a protect circuit that doesn't allow em to fire.
The light lights, but no vapor. I don't quite get why.
IF SOMEONE KNOWS, now you would be helping 2 of us!

Now, they do make a 510, 380mah battery I haven't tried that should work since my 510, 150mah batteries work fine.
I'm considering ordering them for added longevity in use.

I was hoping to use the 808 battery for it's added 1/2v of power over the 510's. So far, no go.

Correct, drops are not a good measurment, but I don't meter my usage like I'm filling a syringe as a diabetic.
Correct that every drop varies in mass, but it is a generally discussed means of explaining how much is used.
General rule is 1ml = ~20 drops.

I know it is a horses#!t way of explaining it, but it's common nomenclature around the vape circles.

You have an 808 batt pushing a 510 dualie with an adapter?
Fill us in....in detail.

I can get a standard 510 to work, but not a low ohm, like the dualie.
What I notices is some adapters are just allowing too much air to come in around them. I used scotch tape and covered some vent holes/etc. It changed the whole character of it.
I also found a 1 piece adapter. works wonders on the higher ohm carto's

The 808 batteries just can't drain their power fast enough to power the LR cartos.
At 1.6 ohms, and 3.7V it looking for 2.3+ amps, and a 380mah (milliamp = 1/1000 of an amp) would need to be rated at about 6C maximum discharge to provide 2.3 amps.

The battery is like a bottle of water, the bigger the opening ( the C rating) the faster you can pour (amps) the water out, and lots of amps (2.3+) is equal to lots of water all at once.

(hope this made sense, the math can get confusing)
