thanks for that! :) Also I've been using these cartos for 4 days now and they are incredible everything in vaping I ever wanted. Quick question, how long does single carto last you for?
If you are asking how long will one last until you need to refill it, maybe 3-5 hours depending on how heavy of a vaper you are.

If you are asking when you should replace it with a new dual coil, I say about two weeks. I keep three filled with my three favorite flavors. They will last me all day. I refill them in the morning. I had one I was going to see how long it lasted, and didn't change it out for a month (my main juice carto). When I finally changed it, the difference in taste was noticable, but not huge. I would suggest to use until you can't see through the middle (about two weeks).

The whole reason I did a review on these and no other cartos on the market, nothing compares 8)

FYI This is how I clean my Boges and dual coils. I even cleaned the clears this way. Super easy, and does a good job. I test all my juices first in a (used/cleaned) Boge 3.0. If it passes, I go to a LR Boge. Some juices are perfect right there. Most end up in the PIF bin. The ones I like, and the ones I want to kick up a notch go to the dual coils. Then for the few I really love, hoosierecigsupply.com's 1.25 ohm duals! My BWB Applewood and Gorilla Juice love the 1.25s.

I only use the cleaned cartos for testing new juices. This method does a very good job of getting all residual flavor out without using chemicals.

Thanks PBusardo for the tips.

I really love my dual coils.

There is a fiberglass tube that shields polyfill from coil heat.

The compressed air blew heat shield tube off of coil and exposed polyfill to coil heat.

I did a few dry burns but could not see coil glowing...end result not pretty.

I should stock up since they are so cheap.
I have attached a few pics of duals I've taken apart after noticing a burnt taste, I thought that the tubes on there were supposed to cover the coils protecting them from burning the filler, but upon closer look I found that they aren't even large enough to cover the coils. Hmmm...

Cool.

The fiberglass tubes do fit over my coils.

I'll be sure to inspect the next one that fails.

That what I thought would happen with the duals, if the straw does not cover the coil then how could it keep from burning the wicking material. Have you taken anymore apart. Thanks for the pictures.

I spoke with SmokTech about this and they said they are working on this issue. Whatever... all I know is I have had many of these that last weeks, and some that last 1/2 day before burning and I know it isn't me because I keep them wet. When it burns though, I dissect it and in every case the tubes are riding up on the wire, not over the coil so the wick and filler are burnt. Man I love them when they work! Check out this image, this is how my burnt ones look (before being burnt)

Nice.

Does the diaper always cover the entire coil?

I've been hitting 3 duallys hard for two weeks at 3.7v w/ no funky tastes.

The performance of my dark flavor dually was running about 75%.
Impressive since some dark juices can kill an atty quick.

My other 2 duallys are running almost like new...thats why I love em.

Can you take it apart without disturbing the straw when you inspect it??

With the clear dual coils you can put them loosely on your battery and wiggle the tube off. then you can unroll the filler and see what it looks like. (Best to do this on a dead battery.) It will go back together if you're careful. I have even cleaned one like this.

Do you remember if diaper covered entire coil?

Hang on, I'll take one apart.

After sleeve is off, there is filler wrapped twice around. Then what looks like cotton folded over and wrapped around each coil. small one on bottom, slightly larger on top coil. Inside each cotton wrap is a fiberglass tube. again small one on bottom, larger on top. Both fiberglass sleeves are above the coils. This is off a working dual coil cartomizer. Cotton had small amount of burnt fiber on it. (I try not to let my duals get too hot.)

WOAH
Those were cool photo's.
Thanks!

Thank you! I like the smoky one... Anyway, I think it's the way they are designed, those tubes are just insulators, not heat shields, IMO. I'd like to know for sure because it seems like not having the coils protected is why some burn up quickly. Hangdude, did you happen to try sliding those tubes down over the coils? I bet they won't fit!
