So I just got a batch of these Tuesday, from CCV (clears), and everything said has been true... they
vape great, taste great, are decently simple to fill just dripping, and are generally full of awesome. CCV was awesome with ship time, keeping me updated, etc.
However,
I seemed to have noticed some very light build quality on these. Now, I don't smack my PV around a lot, it doesn't get carried in a pocket, it basically gets treated very well. I am now on my fourth one of these in two days due to cracking and poor threading.
Looking close up at the threads, it seems that they are very light and soft. These carto's sit on my eGo batts (with no cone of course) and will move a few mm in every direction, simply because they are not threading tight. Also, they seem to crack at the slightest bump.
I use a PT eGo battery most of the time, and when I lay it down, the carto sits a bit above the surface of the desk as it is smaller than the batt. I bumped the PT cord the other day and tilted the PV enough during a gaming session to put some slight pressure (no more than the weight of the PT batt and the carto together, supported by the cord) on the drip tip. This cracked the carto right at the base, and left a puddle of
juice on my desk
The second one went when filling -- I was drip filling and giving it the thermometer shake and bam, battery connection came right out the end, and the tube was cracked right at the base.
Third one was set on my desk with the bottom in a Boge-style condom (mine came without condoms) and got knocked off onto the carpet. Craaaack!
Are these little guys just that fragile, did I perhaps get a bad batch? I'm four cartos into my 15 cart order which I was hoping I would see 30 days of use out of....
Any ideas?
EDIT:
Any idea if the ones from CCV (or any other vendor) that aren't clear are made of the same plastic? I think this would be a perfect storm carto with a stainless tube...
