Used wax cord which looks and feels like leather. Knitted socks are popular here but yarn does not suit stainless steel IMHO....besides, I never learned to knit. lol.
Have no idea what "wax cord" is? Have a link to a location that sells something like that.
Seems like someone would have come up with different colors of an absorbent stretch type tube that could stretch over different size PVs and cut to the length needed. Something similar to the knitted socks you mention but not be able to unravel.

Wax Cord is used to make jewelries like bracelets and whatnot. Its usually available in your local hobby shop.

I also made something similar using shoelaces. I'll post a picture as soon as I get a chance.
Anyone have an idea what this "VZ PRO Mod" is? Has a 5amp limit and looks similar to the VMax but uses a single 18650 battery. Looks like a Vmax knockoff, even similar to the ZMax but no specs to indicate that is the case. Nice looking unit at a reasonable price if it will hold up.
VZ PRO Mod/APV 510/eGo (Body Only) 3 to 6 Volt - E Cig : Joye eGo & eGo-T | Boge Leo | Cartomizers | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes | eGo Tank
Edit: After closer inspection it appears it might screw together at the center like the new LT V2 or that terrible Vision Tox that I lost nearly $30 on after all the deductions Kalamzoo Vapor tacked on for returning the non functioning unit.
Wouldn't mind trying this one but VaporZone has a fairly limited warranty period.

I am getting a resistance at 2.8 ohm. What would you recommend ? Your personal preference perhaps?Really depends on the resistance of your atomizer bro.

If i am using it with Vivi Nova, i have the option to get long wick resistance head of 1.8, 2.4, 2.8, 3.2 and 4 ohms. What would work best with vmax 2 and what voltage would you suggest.
Thanks
It all depends on you. Also depends on the head you have in your vivi. Start with fresh batts and at 3.0V and work your way to the sweetspot. I use a 2.8 Ohm, self wicked, and usually use it at 3,5V (comes out at about 4-4.3V "real" voltage).
Don't be afraid, just start at 3.0V and adjust as you like it better or worse...... Afterall it is a VV device.
Good luck
What is the technique for button clicking to get the resistance of the coil?
My V2 (timeeast) didn't come with a manual. I just use the first two menu's... up or down voltage.
I've got a LR coil on my Fatty. at 3v it's nice.7 slow clicks then select "dA"

Were you thinking of anything in particular at VaporBeast? All I see are 2.5amp and possibly a 3amp unit, all of which have been at most vendors for months. The item I linked to is a new item on the market as far as I can tell.
Something new that some may be interested in is MVs clone of the ZMax for $72 delivered. Smoktech Zmax Variable Volt APV

I don't know if it's out yet or they sold out
