Well put.....you hit the nail on the head...

PBusardo made that point in his video about Vrms vs. Vavg ... if it were just a unit-less counter, it would be acceptable. The problem with that is: it's self-referential. The "power scale" for one mod would be unique to it, and I think it would be maddening to have to remember, well this carto runs good on my ProVari at about 5, but if I move it to my Zmax I need to set it about at 3.5, or if I want to put it on a LavaTube I need 4.5, but on a Twist it's 7 ... AAAAAAAUGH!

How much better if I could set everything according to accurate voltage (or wattage). I can get some meaning out of Volts and Watts, but unit-less numbers are pretty useless ...

And the other people that you are basing on had no clue on how to use it he started a thread on what the 10p error code was lol he said no matter what he did he got the 10p code it was set for 10 watts lololollolololol.look at his other posts couldn't figure how to turn on the lambo started a thread on his defective unit didn't do the 5 click on thing.took pliers to a tank because he couldn't twist it off and broke it because he was twisting the wrong way .He gave the z max such a bad name and it was him that didn't know what he was doing kind of scary Had a defective unit (or he broke it not sure )and continued to use it and then wondered why it melted .Things that make you go hmmmmmm.

Can you imagine if we were discussing which juice taste better and how much nic it should contain, there are threads of that nature but they are not as passionate about it as whether your a "Ford" man or A Chevy man (or woman) . I do think its really good that we do have this passion but not bash someone else's ideas.

In the possibly-interesting analogy category: would you like to drive a car in which the speedometer reads 55 when you're really going 80?

If it's a third of the price. My GPS will tell me how fast i'm going just like people's taste will tell them what there vaping at .

This is my thoughts on Vmax and Zmax, I can understand that if a person never used one and seen the reviews they might be cautious about it's usefulness. But if you have used one I really can't imagine someone not really really liking it. I'm sure there are a few that think it may not be usable because of being over powered but if it were any other way I would not think too much of it (just a good looking LT). I have had zero problems with 2 Vmax's and 1 Zmax but they are surely more fragile than some others. Would I recommend one to my best friends, most certainly.

Not bashing the Lt as I also use one everyday

good analogy...here is mine..

I have 3 different Power regulated PV's...each is set to 8.4 watts....I can put the same carto on each and get consistancy across all three...I invest in a 4th Power Regulated device but I must remember to set it to 3 watts to achieve close to 8.4 watts...does that mean the 4th is not a good mod...no...it's just not consistant, but I think it will be in future revisions...

But when you know the amount of error you can adjust your speed and stiil use the speedo as reference as I have had many cars with that problem just not as extreme

Where did you buy these three different PVs - do tell. Independent reviews of them too please. And all their quirks. And the prices.

I agree -it would be nice, and maybe it will happen. Although the biggest future for manufacturers is probably in the cig size and Ego size pvs. But if some-one starts the ball rolling it could take off. I guess the other thing is not everyone will use that many devices.

I bought a Darwin almost 2 years ago and made 2 DNA mods myself..all three are power regulated...you can find plenty of reviews on these on ECF and plenty of video reviews of the Darwin...the Darwin cost 240 bucks and the mod I built were under 80 bucks each...kinda off topic but you asked...

Thanks for the reply. I don't want a Darwin. I don't want a home made mod that has no warranty, no info on the quirks, and that hasn't been reviewed and tried out by several people either, including video reviews and real comparisons. And I don't want to try making my own.

Just search ECF and you will find plenty of peeps who designed and built DNA mods...they all talk about the pro's and con's...The DNA is also sold built into mods by several vendors( opus and stallion ).. why don't you do some research of your own....

I have researched. I'm not talking about all the people who have made their own - I was asking about the mods you made that you say are all consistent. My point is I don't hear about warranty, independent video reviews, several users opinions - just you saying you made the mods and they are better. I'm quite aware the DNA is out there - as I said, I don't want to build my own mod. If you are selling mods you need to register as a supplier and let your mods be open to scrutiny. If you aren't selling them then the comparison is useless. Just your subjective claims -or hypothetical sort of - 'gee, hypothetically there could be these amazing mods and what is actually for sale isn't as good as the amazing hypothetical mods'.
I'll stay with the Zmax, which is what this thread is about - so yeah, back on topic.

I definitely think you're just hanging in here to bash now.
