I ordered a SS one when they were in stock on the vapor lair site. My tracking said "Delivered" and there was nothing in my mail box but a couple envelopes and some junk mail. I saw the mail man filling all the mail boxes asked him for my mail, he said he can't until he's done. Now nothing. USPS screwed me and now I'm out $120 and a mod that is now sold out. :( :( :(

Any advice on what I can do? I filed a complaint with my post office but they wont even respond for at least 48hrs. I doubt the Vapor Lair would want to send me another even if they were in stock. This sucks.
i'm sorry, that's one of the saddest Vape-mail stories I've ever heard

The Vapor Lair

Post office doesn't give a rip. I filed a case with the post office. I asked the front desk lady what happens with the complaints and she shook her head said "nothing really", we'll ask the driver if he remembers what happened to it.

The Vopor Lair said, sorry not our fault. Which is true, but it sucks. They offered me 20% off if I wanted to buy another.

So frustrated...worst part is no one seems to care.
I care, I just can't think of a way to right this vaping injustice...

Yeah I'm actually going to do the same and have it sent to work from now on. If it did go in the wrong mail box, I obviously can't trust my neighbors.
Wouldn't you have to sign for it and if not wouldnt you have to leave a note on your mailbox giving authorization to leave it? So if that's true, how could he put it in the wrong mailbox slot?

I never updated this thread, but very strange turn of events. I ended up moving from my apartment. About a month into living at my new place, the mod shows up in my mailbox, at the new address. I have no idea what happened. My guess is the USPS had it sitting at the post office for almost 2 months. Saw my change of address/forward mail request and sent it my way? Even though I visited and called my local office a handful of times with no success. Just when I gave up, it shows up. Go figure. By then I had already moved on and purchased an 18650 SS zombie mod. I still have the SMPL in its original package, unused lol

wow love your patina. My copper SMPL just wont patina. Ive come to the conclusion that my hands cant patina copper for some reason. Ive already gone through 4-5 copper mods with the same result. Im a sad panda, ive made the decision to give up on copper lol.

Edit: To give an idea this is what my SMPL mod looks like after ~3 weeks of everyday use constantly.

This mod would be perfect if they just upgraded the contact to copper, or silver plated brass, or copper plated in rhodium(my favorite option)
They actually said a long time ago when i asked them on instagram about making different buttons amd they said they were. So hopefully that holds true, i would love an all copper smpl.

Chipotle.
Well to be fair SMPLs have a coating. Used mine for over a month and still shines~
The authentic SMPL should NOT have a coating on the outside, it should be bare metal unless something very recently changed. All three of mine arrived with nothing on them at all and the copper and brass both currently have a nice patina on them.
