Mine seems to be all one piece but I'm not sure it really is. Even if it's not, it still beats the teetotal crap out of every other mech I have.

Why wouldn't it be? It costs more to machine and press fit two separate parts than to mill the tube once.
Copper is an extremely soft metal. Very very easy to work.

My only thought on the matter is... the cost of solid copper stock vs copper tubing and flat stock. You can get a tube for cheap compared to 22mm solid stock (...). Then you get flat 1/4" stock (for the top) to go with your 22mm tube. Words are hard, but if you've ever done any fabrication you know that every shaving costs money that you can't recoup. If the beginning of every mod is either a 4oz solid chunk of copper OR 2 pieces of 0.25oz copper that you have to attach to each other after 3 cuts and 2 drills and taps (that happen on the 1 piece version regardless)...

In other words, how do you think they make the space for the battery? Suck it out and use it for another mod? No, they don't. It gets sold for scrap metal.

Lol
I have much experience in a machine shop.
Have you ever dealt with a Chinese manufacturer?
Milling that copper stock is nothing. The economics of manufacturing are different when you don't have to make $100 an hour.

There is nothing about the SMPL mod that would stop a Chinese cloner from
Duplicating it perfectly.

I don't know who the D-bag was that posted on my behalf last night but I do apologize for my tone. :nah:

What's that taste? I must have stepped in the dog turd with my right shoe. The left one didn't taste like this.

You are right. I wasn't thinking about Chinese manufacturing. I agree, they should be solid. Don't know why we're having this issue.

My FT 1:1 is definitely 1 piece
I'm kind of surprised the FT SMPLs are solid. Might have to get my next few from them. How's the button?

FT isn't a manufacturer. They are just a retail store.... A very large one that tends to buy from lots of manufacturers, which is why they sell several versions of the same mod.

Check out angelcigs when they restock.
They have the nice SMPL and they ship from the US

The button is smooth. Totally worth the money (and the wait) I highly recommend

I most certainly will. Thanks. I've shopped with them before with success.

I didn't mean to imply FT was the manufacturer. I was referring to their tendency to have the cheapest of the cheap gear. Was just assuming if anyone's SMPL was 2 piece it would be theirs (also assuming that 2 piece is somehow cheaper).

They do have the cheap clones, but they also have the good ones.
That's why they have so many different versions of each mod/atty.

You have to check the reviews AND the discussions on each item before you purchase.
Usually you can find out which one is the better made version.

E cig gear is a tiny fraction of what FT sells.
They don't need to make a huge markup with the insane volume they do daily.

eBay lol

Try 88evape.com on Friday they should have more in stock. I called them today because I wanted to order a brass and copper and they were out of both. Angelcigs.com should be restocking soon too. Chinese New Year has ended.

Yeah ebay...no one else had what I wanted in stock. I know..."ebay eeeeeeeek" because a site with vape in it's domain gets better manufacturers than an ebay seller. Anyhow never heard of 88 but I'll check em out next time. Now in worried I got a clone of the a mod coming

88ecig is legit. Cali based store. Very professional. With an actual phone number you can call. Good luck calling that ebay seller when you have a problem.
They put vape in their web addy because advertising what you sell
Is business 101. That's why ebay has their name in all those seller's links ;)
I've bought some great mods from ebay sellers, but I wouldn't trust them over a legit store.
