:?: you don't foresee having to order anything in the future?
Of course I do, Tibs. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and order FedEx.

The thing is, cigs have been illegal to order through the mail without signatures for a long time. IDK why nic-juice should be different.

The kiddies these days are so damn internet savvy that they outrank the parents.

I do NOT want to shutdown all the vendors. Nor do I want kids ordering nic over the net. Catch-22. So we will have to take the hit and use FedEx or something that requires a signature.

The stuff about "illegal sales" is moot...we're talking about legal mechanisms. Illegal sales are always a problem.

What we REALLY need is a better mechanism for age verification on all sales. Cigs, alcohol, MJ, whatever. I don't care. This is a huge hole in the Wild West of mail-order business. And the problem is only going to get worse. So until we get a better mechanism, I guess we take the hit out of responsibility. Because it's impossible for a parent to stop kids from ordering online. Literally impossible. No matter how "good" your kid is, or how "good" of a parent you are.

I suppose you can make the argument that "they'll get it anyway, somehow, so why restrict my rights?" But that's just you/me/us abdicating our responsibility to put a better mechanism in place. And THAT should be our focus.

And the more products that need this expensive shipping and signature, the more incentive there is to get a mechanism in place and fix it for real. Until then, bite the bullet.

Just downgraded Xfinity plan and saved ~45 bucks per month. No contract.

Thinking of cutting all down to internet only in the future.

I think I actually have MORE features that I care about...we now have 20 hours "cloud DVR" that I don't think we had before. And the same boxes we have now are "rented" cheaper. :p

Still have phone through them, but could switch that to Ooma or something else. And TV too.
Then there's "local channel fees" and "Sports franchise fees" that I can't avoid. & Taxes, charges. Grrr.

It's still 188 bucks a month. I think that's high, but you have to remember it's internet, tv AND telephone line. Could go cell and dump the "land line" I suppose. You can "sling" a lot of the TV stuff and/or Ooma the phone.

Grrr.

I just stopped by to say hello and to avoid more discussions about the politics of vaping.

And I'm gone. Time for the RW. Have fun!
And I'll just add my own " " and " " on a different topic. Just IN-credible.
How STUPID and BLIND are some people???
