Used to be a network administrator for various companies. Worked in web development for a short while. Dabbled in freelance web design. Now im a roughneck working derricks in the oil patches of west Texas. (And loving it) looking for a drilling job on an oil rig but the field im in is great, outside, different every day and exciting.

Work IT for at&t...moving to Korea in the summer to teach English...sucks because i think vaping is illegal there :(

That cant be much worse than Detroit, lol!

I don't really know if your intention is to be offensive, but I'll assume not? Detroit is only bad for those who don't have good jobs with benefits, a nice neighborhood or put themselves behind the 8 ball in life, neither of which are problems i have. But yes I'm moving to Seoul, which is pretty much New York but all Korean :)

Nothing glamorous right now. I just got promoted from unloading trucks to being a department coordinator, merchandising furniture, lamps, wall decor, etc.

I can vape at work in the breakroom, but not between breaks.

Ideally, I'd like to find work with an architecture firm that restores old factories and industrial complexes into mixed use communities.

Hopefully I'll be able to vape there.

My job title is rather vague and I generally don't use it in any work communications.

I develop reports, metrics, dashboards, coordinate testing and manage the information end of projects. I spend about 50% of my day on conference calls and the rest actually doing work. I work from my man cave, generally I locate myself on the couch office portion so I vape whenever and whatever. Sometimes I have to travel, will generally not vape too much in public unless I've had a few drinks. Questions annoy me.

You can buy a house there for 5 bucks I heard lol.
i don't know if you'd want to live in a 5 dollar house, but yeah property is cheap here, one of the few incentives to stay.

Cowdog.
Came from a 2 career family in Wyoming. Mom was working stock on one ranch & Pop was working on the other ranch next door.

Herded cattle, sheep, other dogs, people, etc. Worked myself up to office security business in town. Hardest part of that job was the required monthly baths. Yuck. I'm the first Cowdog in my family to ever have a bath!

Retired to Florida. Currently fetching & delivering newspaper each morning. (What? They think I'm a retriever. )

So it goes. Vape on.
Bullette says woof!

Why are there so many computer geeks here? Me included. I won't bore you with the details of the computer I built , but I won't use RAID 0 any longer. A fried PSU educated me. The fried PSU also fried one of my hard drives. I use RAID 1 (mirrored) now instead. I originally had a SCSI, but it was like maintaining a Ferrari. With SSD's, high quality mobo's, (Gigabyte, or ASUS), and better memory available, SCSI is waning anyway. I would use RAID 10 if my pocketbook wasn't empty.

Side note: Are there any Masons here?
