Lost - I'm so glad you're vaping and not smoking, especially with all the dental work going on. I've had, and will have, a LOT of work done on my teeth, and it's going to be sooooo much better for you to be vaping through it and and not smoking.

Please don't spend any time worrying about what smoking has done in the past. Please just concentrate on how things are going to get better and better each day. And please don't feel bad about your teeth; more people than you know have PLENTY of problems with them, me included. With what modern dentistry can do, it means NOTHING whether they're your own teeth, or "marvels of dental science". Mine are two to one not my own, and I still need six implants. I'm just glad that I won't have to worry about splinters, like George Washington did. :)

You're a rock star, and we're all very, very proud of you. We are your extended family, and we can collectively help you with whatever you need to know about ANYTHING at ANY TIME to get you the best vape you want, no matter what it's on. I've never owned a Volt, but I will, even though I have some "more advanced" stuff, because the Volt is COOL, gives a FINE VAPE, and is DOING THE JOB FOR YOU. THAT IS WHAT COUNTS THE MOST.

And just like I have to get "Mad Men", "Dexter", and "Breaking Bad" on DVD because I've never seen a SINGLE episode of ANY of them, I will have to read this entire thread sometime; I hear it's a real "doozy"! LOL

Good going, and happy vaping!

*****

And WHY AM I YELLING SO MUCH? I DON'T KNOW! LOL

(I think I'm just happy for you). :)

John D in CT, thank you so much for your encouraging words! You're absolutely right, I'm not going to get hung up on what the smoking has done in the past and I'll keep a positive attitude towards future because I know it will be better than the past. I'm excited to experience all the positive improvements my body is going through without the tar and the chemicals of the cigarettes, I want to tell all the smokers out there that there really is a better alternative to the analogs. Thank goodness I stumbled upon this forum and got all the support you guys gave me so generously without judgement. I now understand how everyone refers to vaping as a much more pleasurable experience than smoking analogs, it really is! I can see how this can become a hobby and not an inferior alternative to smoking.

On another note, I will also have to get braces as well and I'm wondering how the vaping will go when that happens. Does any of you have braces and vape? I wonder if it is bad for braces - I don't think it'd be but I'm just curious.

And look who just popped in...so glad you're doing so well considering the dental problems...all that pain and still vaping??? kudos X 10 to you
You are truly the poster child for anyone that is in a similar position and I found this thread not only inspiring but thought provoking. Witness all those that came forward with similar issues and shared. As for EJuice affecting your braces the only thing to worry about is the PG coating the oral area- a good mouthwash or gargle with fresh lemon and water will help.
As for revealing all to your husband my suggestion would be to take your first post and take a few other posts where you said you felt guilty and print them out and let him read them BUT first and foremost THERE"S NO RUSH. It would take a heartless soul to not feel the pain that you have endured as posted by yourself. Again kudos for moving so forward so fast and for sharing with us all.
You take good care of yourself and All the Best.
P.S. I don't how many days I logged on to ECF and searched for this post

Thank you so much Vapoor eyes er, you've been so supportive and I can't thank you enough. I'm also amazed and moved by all the people that are in similar situations as myself who came out and shared their stories. I think it's definitely been a very rewarding journey for me and hopefully inspired others as well. I'm currently putting together information on vaping so that I can present to my husband when I talk to him, and having him read my posts here might be a good idea too - since everything I wrote came from my heart and I think it might help him understand my situation better. Thank you again!!!!

You're very welcome and you deserve much of the credit. Take some time to pat yourself on the back cuz you certainly got to where you wanted to be through perseverance, hard work and opening your heart and soul to us. My reward????? I can almost see the glow and sparkle in your face and that's priceless. As for your hubby there's no rush and I'm sure when you do speak with him he will say that he's noticed something positively different about you as of late. Overall all just so pumped up and positive from this experience.
You take of yourself and please don't lose touch with your new "family".
Sincere Best Wishes, Dan.

So glad you're doing well..... John D in CT nailed everything I'd even think to say. Just know that you have positive thoughts coming your way. Oh and I have some teeth that I'll probably lose too. (OK, I'm in denial, one of my back molars is cracked down to a little nub already). You're NOT ALONE in any of this. Anyone in a similar situation can take comfort in that, and your posts may give others the courage to come forward.

So very happy to read that the gear you chose is working for you and that you're still enjoying the freedom from the stinkies!!!!

I too kept checking this thread to see if you had posted an update. Sorry to hear about the gum and bone loss issue. I am suffering the same consequences and it's no fun. Glad to hear that you're getting it taken care of.

That is so funny about the feet smell. What flavor juice are you vaping that smells like that? LOL

If my vaping smelled like feet I think I'd take up candle collecting and have some strong scents available to burn in each room that I vaped in.

Wishing you continued success on your vaping journey!!!

I am sure that everyone that reads this thread can not say enough how proud they are of you. I am anxious to know what the outcome is when you tell your husband. CASAA. org is a good place to go and get all the info you need on ecigs. I can not imagine him not being proud of you for making such a healthier choice. Wishing you all the best. You will know when the time is right to tell him. As much progress as you have already made, I am sure that it will not be long.

I too was a secret smoker and my boyfriend HATED that I smoked. While I thought I was hiding it he just never mentioned that he could taste it on me. I thought not smoking 4 hours before I saw him if that was possible would help. It didnt. BUT! when I switched to E-cigs he somehow is okay with that. It does not have a smell, except if he says "Is that Vanilla" and now he doesnt mind at all. Plus, he is a fitness buff and me being able to run a little longer helps, now that my chest isnt clouded with phlem lol. You can go to TW to start...thats how I got all the guys at my job to start stoping. After that you will not want to go back to a Cigg again...you will start to relish in all this vaping stuff. Trust me lol My dad is hooked now too and is worse than me.

I have to tell you this funny story though: one day my husband went into the room where I had vaped earlier in the day, and he said what is that smell, it smells like feet here! LoL! It does indeed smell like feet/sweaty socks in the room if I don't ventilate it during the day, but that's something I can live with.

Hope you all are doing great and had a wonderful fourth of July! I'll keep you posted with my progress. Thank you again for all your help, support and love.

I don't stealth vape, but I like my vaping and house to be scentless. I use unflavored and an air filter cleaner in the room I frequently vape in. Sweaty sock smell might be eliminated by switching suppliers. It's a "base" smell that'll be in ALL of that suppliers juices. Othertimes it's soapy or perfumy.

Covert to vaping. My girlfriend HATED me smoking cigarettes. She hates smoking period. But she doesn't mind vaping at all. She enjoys the smell from some of my favorite juices. I would suggest getting an EGO kit (Probably the C or T kit) to start with. Find juice you love and sit down and talk with your husband about this safe alternative. The disposable kinds are ok, but they won't last long and to be honest, the flavors aren't good. Try these websites below to look over Vaping supplies. Don't feel bad about yourself. After my husband finally quit smoking after 4 attempts to do so he pressured me to do the same and of course I told him I would but, I didn't. I hid it from him for a few months and finally came clean & told him that I didn't quit and that it needs to be my choice to quit not his and that if he tried to force me that it definately would not work. Anyway, good luck to you and don't give up..
