The MVP's full name is "Innokin Itaste MVP 2.0". Itaste is just a series of products that Innokin makes. There is a variety of Itaste's out there, but I would stick with the MVP. low cost, low learning curve. here is a review of the product you might like.

The term spinner is just like the term MVP. It is just a name of the actual product. Itaste-MVP .... Vision-Spinner. On the bottom of the "spinner" is dial that adjusts the wattage of the device. Its closest competition would be the Ego-Twist.

The MVP is going to be a little more $ but its has a bigger battery, more VV/VW settings (vape shop or ECF forums will help you get that setup), and my favorite part of the device - the ability to charge other devices! I dont know if anyone has mentioned it but it has a USB port on the bottom so you could charge a freaking laptop of it among other devices...LOVE IT

Innokin seems to be the brand I'm going to buy, but I'm still debating on which product. I'm currently on MadVapes, watching their videos because they are unpacking and handling the products and I can get a better idea of if they are something I'd use, and will continue watching different videos until I decide, probably. On top of that, my local smoke shop (not the same one as in the OP) just carved out a huge space for vapes, and has almost every Innokin product as well as the Nautilus tanks, and I was able to handle them and see a variety of products to better make up my mind. The MVP is one heck of a little brick. lol

Now it is pretty much down to finding a store with those products, with the best price, and with the best customer service/policies. Or some compromise towards better customer service/policies.

Anyone here have any feedback on the iTaste 134 or VTR? More specifically in comparison to the other Innokin products, but in general is fine, too. Each was mentioned once by a different person in this thread, but not touched on much, other than to say Innokin is a great brand.

Just want to say, my first experience with liquid ecig I had the same issues but it turned out to be a personal error on my end. Just not knowing exactly how to use the product. Either way I'm sorry you had a bad experience but there's a lot of smart and kind people here who will help get you on the fast track to enjoyable vamping :)

I'm fairly new to the forum and have been vaping and completely off cigarettes for four months. Started with a Kanger Evod kit purchased at a B&M for around $85.00. Found this forum and that was the last time I've been on a B&M. After a month upgraded to a Kanger Aerotank and a VV 1000 mAH battery. A month ago I went all out and got a ProVari Mini and a Nautilus. Just bought another ProVari and a Nautilus Mini with BVC coils and until I get brave enough to try rebuildables, this is as close as I'm gonna get to the perfect vape! Add in some Hurricane Vapor Pineapple Cheesecake and Suicide Bunny Mothers Milk and I'm in heaven! It's a journey, and I'm loving the trip!

URL I cant quote so snipped.

and will continue watching different videos until I decide

My question was geared towards the thread and direct conversation, not requesting people to link me generic, insulting Youtube video search terms, as I am and have been watching other people's comparison/review videos.

So, I've spent probably the last 10 hours vegging out on vape Youtube videos...

Is it just me, or have they all seemed to...get...stupid recently?

I'm watching videos from a year ago that are informative, straightforward, detailed, etc...then I go to their channel and try to watch the most recent videos to get more updated reviews and comparisons, and they just...get stupid. IndoorSmokers, GreenGrim or whatever they're called, to name two. They just seem like the fame got to their heads and it might as well be JennaMarbles. You learn a few things, but it's mostly to get you to laugh and stare at them for 10 mins. (don't get me wrong, I love Jenna, but I'm looking for reviews, not a comedy sketch) ...I saw one guy who had animated animals and stuff into his videos, and the only part worth watching was when his 'helper' did a breakdown of the products.

Just thought I'd share. Thought about making a new thread but, meh...I already have this one. lol

What's your favorite Youtube channel(s)?

This is what I would recommend from personal experience:
Mod:
I had a vamo v5 i got from fasttech for $30 and it served me amazingly and now it's serving one of my friends. If you want to step it up from there I'd recommend something that puts out over 30w and has dual batteries. Right now the only options for that criteria are still on preorder, but If you ever get into rebuildables you'll be ready.

I had a Seven30 which puts out 30w and would vape it between 10-30 but there were occasions where I wanted a little more.

Batteries:
I recommend a set of vtc5 batteries so you can vape while charging. Be careful there are a lot of fakes(you can google ways to figure out if they're fake). My advice for buying from ebay is to make sure it the listing says guarenteed authentic or genuine. If you receive them and they aren't, you can file a claim and get your money back. Battery safety is important so make sure to get a smart charger. The nitecore i2 has served me well and is only $14 on amazon.

Seems you experienced some tank leaking and flooding. This is something I've experienced with every tank. I know my buddy has a protank and the vape is amazing, but I don't know if he's experienced any leakage. The aspire nautilus mini is the bees knees from what I hear so that may be worth checking out.

As for youtube, it's a great way to learn. I personally enjoy indoorsmokers videos even though I no longer find them useful. RipTrippers has the most legit reviews IMO but most of his videos are for experienced users that do rebuildables.

I started out with an ego and a kanger m7(middle of the mall starter stuff), then vaped RTAs(rebuildable tanks), now Im on RDA(rebuildable drippers). Every time I think it can't get any better I try something new and it does.

I started with an Evod kit with a mini protank 2. I bought that after doing a ton of research online and then ordering it from a shop that was linked on this forum somewhere. A week after that I bought a Provari mini and gave all the Evod stuff to my boyfriend. We've both been off cigarettes since then. About 2 months for me and a month for him.

If you are internet savvy then I would suggest doing your own research, and buying online, instead of going to a shop. The MVP seems to be a pretty good set up from the recs here and I'm actually thinking about buying one with a Nautilus mini just for fun.

Good for you for doing your research. Just remember that there will always be something newer and/or better. Ecig tech is still in its infancy and improving daily.

I started out with an echo 808 and some really frustrating cartos. Fast forward a few years and I've been through at least a dozen setups. Right now I'm using a protank 3 with an ego-c twist batt. And I'm planning to get a lavatube 2.5 next week. It won't be the last setup I get. But it will certainly be better than my last setup! ;)

Hi there,
First of all what do you mean by "oils"? We are not vaping oils. Also not vaping "pure nicotine".
Can you show us a photo of the ejuice you bought? And also the ecigarette and the clearomizer?

This may be salvageable with some help here.

Secondly, go back to the store on a busy day, wait til more customers come in, then pitch a fit about how your stuff doesn't work.
ASK them to put the equipment together, with ejuice, and then make sure it works. Take it apart and see if there is any juice coming out of a leaking clearo, etc. That may be all that is happening here, Can you post photos ?

I don't let retail stores or online vendors rip me off and either should you. (and believe me, it's happened, including with wvendors that are supposedly vetted here).

the guy says Tsunami comes with a lifetime warranty? If so, that warranty is passed on to vendor from the manufacturer. They need to know that the vendor is not honoring the warranty, which will negatively impact their product.

Next stop,, call BBB and consumer division of your state, etd.

Geez guys and gals, why are we just telling people to buy more stuff? I just had the button fall off a relatively new PV. YOu can bet it is going back to vendor. And no guff. I have a microwave oven that I've used for 5 years that cost 50 bucks that is still working. I have a coffee maker, a blender, and all kinds of other appliances that when I spend 50 bucks I expect to get my money's worth.

I have noticed this going on for some time now, and I dont' understand why vapers think tossing away 50 bucks is okay. It's not okay. If some in this budding industry are gonna act like snake oil salesmen, we NEED TO OUT THEM.

What was name of the vape shop please. :) Up in Lights for them. :)

(Incoming story time...)

I've been vaping for approx. 24 hours now. My experience has been relatively good with the vaping, and absolutely terrible with the retail side.

So, after asking a friend with a vape and him sucking at responding to my texts, I decided to do my own research. As I'm sure everyone here knows (cause I read that, in multiple places here), all this research is overwhelming. So many types, sizes, flavors, features, TH, etc, etc... I finally settled on going with a basic vape and working my way up. From what I had read online, I could get one for a reasonable price, so me and my partner ventured to the local smoke shop to just dive in. Here in Orlando, Florida, we have a chain of shops called Up In Smoke.

We get there, and despite some bad reviews for the place having stupid sales reps, this guy seemed alright. He ran us through the brands he had, features, battery sizes, his shop's line of oils, and answered all of my questions to our satisfaction. The particular brand I was aiming for, an E-Go CE4, was almost 100 dollars...the item had been repackaged with their store brand packaging and I was obviously immediately turned off of that purchase.

So I asked about vape kits...and he listed off 50, 60, and 70 dollar single vape kits. None of this sounded right. We should have left. We didn't... So then he showed us the Tsunami G-Class 2 pack with a black and chrome battery. No features, no bells and whistles...just vapes. 80 bucks and 2 'free' oils...sounds like a steal, right!? (wink) ...we ask about warranties, and the guy says Tsunami comes with a lifetime warranty. Sounds good, let's just get out of here and start vaping! We choose our oils and go to pay.

This is when I shoulda known I screwed up. He and his coworkers stood around chatting before ringing up the vape, eventually ringing it up, and he stood there silently while I counted my money and responded to a statement made by my partner...I give him the money, he slowly counts it out and puts the twenty dollar bills up to the light, and completes the transaction...and then goes into overdrive with his good salesman routine. He takes everything out of the bag he put it in and is like, 'Oh, let me check all these. I like to test products before I sell them to make sure you don't take home a broken item.' At the time, I thought that was great. He 'showed' us that the items worked, and off we went.

The first few hours were fine. We vaped, it was nice and clean, we coughed a few times because we weren't used to the pure nicotine...lol

Then the issues started. Mine started gurgling, popping, and crackling. It wasn't really affecting anything, and nothing was exploding. We put it off as a 'tomorrow' issue. Bedtime rolls around and my partner goes to put his on the charger...turns out there's a pool of oil hiding between the tank and the battery. Yay! We clean it up, dry it, charge it.

The next day, it takes him hours to get the battery working again, and mine starts volcanoing oil from the mouth piece every other time I push the button. I mean, at least the menthol tastes good.

So, obviously, 4 issues within 24 hours prompts us to want to return the item. We check out the smoke shop's website and don't see a return policy stated. So we call them, and are pretty much cut off with them saying that they don't do refunds, returns, or exchanges, all sales are final, all problems are consumer caused, and our warranty is there for a reason.

Woah, woah, woah... I don't want an exchange, I want a refund and to move to a different product. Two vapes with repeated problems within the first 24 hours...clearly that's a brand problem. Nope, Up In Smoke decided it didn't want to deal with the paperwork regarding their insane markups and to do return and defect paperwork themselves.

So I call Tsunami... No refunds, I pay shipping, I'll get a new product shipped back *eventually*...

Arg!

In all the research and junk I did on vapes, not a single time did anyone mention to be wary of physical store policies!

I guess I'm happy that we didn't burn all our smokes and dance naked around the bonfire of freedom when we bought the vapes, so we have something to fall back on while we wait for the new Tsunamis... But at the same time, I'm really considering taking the new ones they send us and just selling it on eBay instead of using it...

With all of that said, I have a few questions...

What was your first vape, what was your experience with purchasing it, and where did you go from there?

What is your favorite online or physical store(s) to buy vapes and vape accessories, and why?

And lastly, just for fun, if you could build/buy the perfect vape, what would it be/what parts would you use? (excluding 3D printer stuff cause thems cheaters)

Racehorse please come down off your high horse. The op asked our opinions on a better set up not on how to handle a stores return policy. I'm sorry if you do not like the way we answered the op's question which was directly what they asked.

Phew... I'm sorry, but I thought this was the new member section, not the 'use the right terminology or get treated like an idiot' forum... You shoulda seen it before I proofread it and took out things like 'glass liquid holder thing' and put in 'tank', I'm sure you would have petitioned a ban... Also, VG is derived from oil, and there are numerous posts just within this forum about oil based e-juice...so yeah, some people are.

As for the pure nicotine bit, I meant it in the sense of a product that was unadulterated in the way that cigarettes are. Free of unnecessary elements or contamination. It is of a pure quality. Also, it was like 18 freaking mg which we shouldn't have been given anyway, so yeah, it felt like being punched in the throat with pureness. Perhaps I used the word 'pure' flippantly in your eyes, as I see many people jump out of their skin on here when they see 'pure', thinking it's 100% undiluted nicotine they're talking about vaping... But anyway, compared to a cigarette's 4,000+ ingredients, I'm still gonna say I was vaping something pure in comparison, with 3-5 ingredients. I use more than 3-5 ingredients when I make eggs...

This may be salvageable with some help here.

The Tsunami is not something I'd waste my time salvaging, anyway. We went and found the store's owner at another one of their shops, and he gave us one lesser class Tsunami for free, and set it up himself, and it is just as crappy as the other two. E-JUICE pouring out everywhere.

Secondly, go back to the store on a busy day, wait til more customers come in, then pitch a fit about how your stuff doesn't work.

I don't need to go get a police escort out of a store cause I bought a crappy product. I'll leave my Google review and I'm good. As far as you talking the issue down, we are now at 3 Tsunami products that had issues within 24 hours of taking them home. I don't care if it's a 'simple leak', they shouldn't be shipping things in a leaking state.

I don't let retail stores or online vendors rip me off and either should you. (and believe me, it's happened, including with wvendors that are supposedly vetted here).

While I didn't sit there and ask to be ripped off, there's nothing I can do about a store's return policy. We don't have anything like the Australian Consumer Law, we don't have a right to make them take it back. We just have our voices with things like Google Maps reviews, Yelp, etc, and that works plenty well for helping people avoid ....ty small chain and stand-alone stores. (I paid in cash, too.)

the guy says Tsunami comes with a lifetime warranty? If so, that warranty is passed on to vendor from the manufacturer. They need to know that the vendor is not honoring the warranty, which will negatively impact their product.

Tsunami didn't care, because the lifetime warranty doesn't have to be PROCESSED by the vendor. That's optional. I later found out, when getting that free Tsunami after talking to the actual owner of the chain, that they don't have a manager. While he retains the same general 'all sales final' store policy, he stated he would have made an exception if he was aware of the situation for a faulty item like that...of course, he said that after we had already sent it back. lol

Next stop,, call BBB and consumer division of your state, etd.

Stores are not legally required to accept returns or issue refunds, and even if he didn't outright say it to me, and I didn't see it clearly posted, even a tiny, 1x1 sticker at the back of the store counts as notice. There is a notation for being misguided or the item being defective, but it's just not a fight I want to get into.

Geez guys and gals, why are we just telling people to buy more stuff? I just had the button fall off a relatively new PV. YOu can bet it is going back to vendor. And no guff. The name of the shop is in the OP, specifically the one on OBT if you feel so inclined to do anything with it.

And yes, as someone already said, I specifically asked what people started with, moved to, and their idea of a perfect set-up.

I plan on reselling the new exchange on eBay and attempting to recoup some of my losses. I sent a hand written letter to Tsunami with my exchange politely requesting a refund instead of an exchange, which I doubt will be acknowledged, but I have to hope that at the very least they'll be touched that someone in the world still uses a pen and paper outside of school or work.

Yes... I now know that leaking is a thing that happens, but as far as I can tell (of course, I'm no expert) in the hundreds of videos I've crammed into my brain today...with numerous different tanks, batteries, etc, being tested, screwed on, screwed off, with fluid in them, puffed on numerous times, and considering the amount of editing and retakes...that volcanoing liquid from the top, or the battery being covered in juice after less than 4 or 5 hours of light use, is not normal.

Like, in looking this up I came across Volcano something or other and multitudes of people were saying that right out of the box, their tanks leaked. New one, tank leaked. Constant a CSR, they say not to tighten it too much, not to cover this, not to do that, and the people did that/didn't do it the wrong way anymore and it still leaked. Bad product, imo.

I get maintenance, I get cleaning, I get proper use, I get human error, what I don't get is out of the box defects on three products of two different models from the same company handled and put together by three different people.

Annnyywaaayyy...

Sorry for the rant bit, but it blows me away being told what to do, what I shouldn't do, throwing around negativity, demands, etc, by someone who didn't even read the thread.

Good day. :D

Hi

Congratulations on quitting smoking and being healthier. I started with the njoy cignots for a few weeks. Then a friend showed me his simple ego kit with a battery and starling tank. Probably the most basic system today; yet significantly better than njoy.

That is where I suggest that friends start. There are many different starter kits out there. All are good for beginners. I purchased mine online because there weren't any vape shops around back then. Today there are many. All the local vape shops sell starter kits and have samples of the e-juice for you to try.

I would suggest you try one of those.

Good Luck and congrats.
