Hey dracis!

I'm glad your first experience was a successful one and as of now that you have no desire for an analog!

If that changes please don't worry about chain vaping too much as that is what finally wound up working for me. As I have mentioned elsewhere on these forums when I dove back into e-cigs a few weeks back I made the mistake of treating them like a regular cig and only taking some hits off my PV when a really bad craving struck and the PV wouldn't satisfy me so I would smoke. Then I decided to chain vape so I would fight off having a craving and that worked MUCH better for me in cutting down.

BEWARE of stress because even on days when I was doing well something really stressful would happen and I couldn't help it - I reach for the Marlboros. :(

In the end as others have advised do not put pressure on yourself. I made a point of taking it very slow and easy and about a month into it - I dropped the cigs - haven't had one in like 3-4 days but if I decide tomorrow I want one I will have one.

The upside is that once you get rid of this way of thinking, it really frees you up, you know? If my cigarette break gets cut short there's no annoyance, because my vape isn't going anywhere, unlike that cigarette I just had to snuff three drags in. I can go to bed whenever the hell I feel like it, instead of having to do that ritual of "one last cig before bed". And I never have to say, "Wait until I finish this vape, and I be right with you."

SOOOOOOO TRUE, Stephra!!!!!!

Wow. So many success stories and sagely advice. Thanks again guys! I'm happy to report that my pack of Marlboro 27 analogs are still sitting on my desk, and I haven't touched it all afternoon since I got my order. :) I have no desire to go back to them right now, either.

As I was catching up with this topic, I was using the USB PT I snagged from my mother's Ultimate Ultimatum kit. :D Love this thing. I'm still kind of buzzing a bit, so I might get a lower mg. My wife is feeling a bit queasy, so she's going to definitely get a lower mg than me.

I am facing a problem though. I need more toys! I was about to place just placed an order for more batteries, carts and some juice. I absolutely love the menthols. The Premium carts give some super vapor as well, so I was really impressed!

Look what you guys have done to me! OH NOES!

Glad things are still going well.

PTs are the greatest things EVER (almost 3 full days on mine with my Kensington Power Pack! :))

Yeah, get used to it. People keep telling me switching to e-cigs is cheaper but I'm not seeing it yet ;) :D

I quit long before (6 months) using the patch and nicotine gum both but was gradually sneaking an analog here and there then one a day when I found V4L. As soon as I got my stuff I quit the analogs completely. I am sure I would be back on analogs without V4L. I use 36mg all the time and smoked machine rolled (strong) analogs for 30 years. The doctors said quit or die. Now I can breathe again and senses of smell and taste are back. I have been vaping since November 09.

Besides about 6-7 months of pre-vapor transition research. Many videos watched, many statements read. A very important part of preparation, is understanding. Knowing what you're getting yourself into, buying smart and trusted products, and not selling yourself short. After all, we are simply human.

I threw out my favorite ashtray, gathered all of my rolling papers, and rolling equip(sweet Gizeh rollbox) and put them AWAY, out of sight. Had about a pouch worth of tobacco left, wrapped it up and put it in the freezer just in case. Gathered my flower pot ashtray/ashpot and threw it away. No plant would survive if i emptied and tried to grow it in there. I could only imagine the amount of nicotine slathering the inner walls.

The transition was easier than expected. The first day was weird, my body was screaming for the gross chemicals i had been polluting myself with for 10+ years. I spent the next week with a strange feeling. Kind of like when a limb falls asleep is how my whole body felt. Like the blood was coming back, but better. My nose and throat freaked out a little bit too. Strange aches and pains, certainly not intolerable though, and well worth it. Mind you this may not happen with everyone, as we all have a different biological setup.

Now, i smell better, and easily recognize those whom smoke by smell. I despise the scent of burning tobacco now. Everything tastes better. I am less shaky and irritable than i was when i smoked. I shake all the time since childhood, silly misfiring synapses, but it was bad when i smoked.

I think Belletrist stated the biggest difference you would notice was "nothing". She was telling the truth. If V4L can work for me, a non-filter chain smoker of 10+ years, it can certainly work for many of people out there.

Finding this site, and reading unregistered for a few months really swooned me to go for V4L. A lot of good, honest informative people here. Certainly prepared me for one of the best decisions i may have ever made, and hope that many more make!!!!

V4L is a life saver.

Some truly wonderful, inspiring stories here. These are the stories that I want politicians and media to hear, to help to get them past their initial "e-cig novelty" reaction.

For any noobs reading, let me pile on the encouragement. Here are my personal health improvements nine weeks into vaping exclusively...

* totally clear breathing, no more coughing
* greatly increased sense of taste and smell
* better sleep, with no more snoring (happy wife!)
* more energy, more time (no "smoke breaks" needed)
* and almost no more headaches! (a huge one for me after 30 years of almost daily headaches and painkillers)

Life-changing for me. And it just happens to be FUN. ;)

You want more toys? You feel sort of compulsive about placing another order?

How very odd and unusual. :):):):):):):)

Yeah, it's your fault. You said the forums will take my life, and now it's the peripherals and stuff. Hate you. ;-)

deadman31299, thanks for that. I told my wife that like anything, it's going to be a learning process. Valerie has been really great with putting up with me/us. That's why I seriously love V4L. It's not about making a quick buck, it's about the feeling of taking care of your own. Like family. At least that's how I feel. I seriously have never experienced this much involvement with customer service, ever.

jeffree, I couldn't agree with you more. Mighty fine points you brought up. :)

I'm usually in bed until my wife shakes the crap out of me. Then my dog starts barking like mad because he's trying to protect me, lol. Today, I woke up when she did, and the first thing she said was "WTF?!" The coffee tasted delicious, and I was up and about more than usual. I think I've finally found what I've been missing in my life. Don't tell my wife I said that because I think I told her the same thing when we got married...

"What? So now you're comparing me to an e-cig?"
:-x

Hey, at least it's warm enough to sleep in the garage floor now. Until it rains again...

Word! It certainly is a learning process. Your likes dislikes, certain customizations. Which is something else sweet about V4L, customization. Say you have a pack of "Red Cow" cartomizers, they run low, you can throw some "Mount Do!" juice in them and they taste amazing. mix assorted tobacco flavors, etc. Not to mention all the accessories to fit YOUR lifestyle.

The sense department f@cking rules. Smelling again! In certain situations maybe rather unpleasant, friends with B.O., dead bodies, etc.(j/k) LOL!

More restful sleep is a bonus too, no little whistles from your bronchial tubes, the list goes on and on man. Enjoy yourself! We all certainly are!

LOL.

Actually, I'm quite scared. I have this accute sense of smell. I can smell things that my wife, friends, and family can't pick up whatsoever — until it's too late. Usually, I'm already somewhere else since I can't stand the scent. If I leave an area, it would probably wise to follow suit, hah. I'll tell my sister that it's time to change her baby, and she'd tell me that she was just changed a few minutes ago. "Seriously, check her again." I'd say. All I get is a, "What the hell?!"

How's the RedCow? I love the flavor of RedBull, and it really piqued my interest. I may be insane, but I got a 5ml bottle of OJ Juice with my first order and added a few drops to my Kamel. Whoa. That tasted so delicous.

I really think a cantaloupe/melon would be awesome. Since the stuff comes from China, I'm sure they would know what I'm talking about. It's not the kind of melon we get here in the states. It's a more fruity and juicy melon flavor. They should have tons of candy and/or gum to try. The perfect flavor to describe it would be this. I love this stuff! This is the best candy I've had in a long time, and I'm all out.

The secret to my success: Time. I started vaping and cut way back on the analogs right out of the gate. Then I spiked again and slowly my analog intake worked its way down again. When I find I need something that the straight nic in vape isn't giving me, I use one of the alternative "safer" tobacco products to get my fix and move on. Whenever I want a smoke, I'm going to have one. Between vaping and snus, I just haven't wanted one since Saturday.

Give yourself plenty of time, don't be hard on yourself, and if your feeling adventurous, look at some of the other options available to us as well. Quitting doesn't have to be about only having one weapon in your kit when there's a whole arsenal available. :)

The "Red Cow" is good. Definitely tastes like its real world counterpart for sure, but at the same time reminds me of red licorice!? Dunno. Really good if you mix it with "Mt. Do!".....all the fruit flavors are great, never thought i would enjoy inhaling it!
