Actually you are going to extremes to be right and a lot of the posts here are highly exaggerated.
Exaggerations that misrepresent the position of the "other side" are why threads devolve into one big mess.
Which probably happens with every thread on every forum since the dawn of man.

Well on the ECF General forum especially, it's like an 80's Geraldo Rivera topic on Heavy Metal music, every time somebody mentions Sub-Ohms.

The thread that was referenced was about a person who didn't own an ohm meter and using an ego with a Tobh. How is it that I am the only one to try and educate this person?
I didn't see the thread, so I may be wrong.
I was just commenting on the post that you quoted here in this thread.

Look, we all have preferences. Steve uses a Provari, Oberon uses a DNA 40, I use a mech. We're all knowledgeable about what we use and, combined, our knowledge is strengthened. If OP was trolling in the referenced thread (which they weren't) then that could be used as an opportunity to show how intellectual we all are. It could make us look damn good. But if we mock and make fun of a novice, and their battery explodes, then its going to be hell for all of us. There are bound to be people counting the f... ups.

I get what some of you are saying, and I can admit that there's been a couple times that have felt like a lost cause, but vaping is still in its infancy and its a critical time to be supportive. Oberon wanted you guys to stop hating on subohmers. I just want you guys to stop being haters.

    WHAT!!!!
Vaping has been around for 10 years now, so I would think that it has progressed past the infancy stage.

Lets face facts, we're passionate about our vaping or we wouldn't be spending so much time on these forums, and that passion gets loose sometimes.
I would think that the only thing any of us "hate" is seeing someone get hurt.

OH-and, the only reason that I dislike sub ohm vaping is because I don't like sub ohm vaping.
Some of us really are "Tootle Puffers". ;)

Brandon as someone who has tried many times to help people I can tell you now I'd rather try to convert a hundred diehard antz then ever try it again as all I got was smart .... remarks, insults and abuse because "I wasn't using what they were so how could I know about it". If you want an example of the futility of such actions your in the perfect thread I and many others have addressed the points raised by a poster who doesn't respond to those replies and carry's on using generalities whilst bemoaning generalities on their preferred aspect of vaping. It isn't a lack of wanting to give help and advice it's a lack of being receptive and understanding on the part of those we try to help and a lousy attitude more often then not.

Also vaping isnt in it's infancy when i first started seriously thinking of switching from tobacco to vaping three years ago I did a lot of reading up to get as familiar as possible with vaping and the resources to do that today are far ahead of where they were back then. No one starting vaping now has a real excuse for being ignorant beyond not bothering or accepting a YouTube video as showing you all you need to know and with that sort of person read above. There comes a point where you just can't do it anymore and only bother with those who show a willingness to learn and don't jump right into more advanced setups.

Ten years is a fetus when comparing vaping to cigarettes. So many studies need to be compiled to make an accurate representation of how vaping will impact us not just now, but long after we're six feet in the ground. Think long term.

Even with my mech at ~.3 ohms, I still pull on my Mini Naut from time to time. I just love a good vape.

First off, thank you for being reseasonable. And you're right, there is no excuse for ignorance regarding vaping, but we can help. As far as vaping equipment is concerned we have seen a lot of advancement. My comment about the infancy of vaping is more in regards towards tobacco and the studying of long term vaping. We're still in a moment of uncertainty. I just think its important that we all keep our composure and fight for what matters.

What is it that you feel matters?

EDIT: And let me just add that there are LOT of reasons for ignorance regarding vaping.
EDIT: In fact I might say that there are close to a $$BILLION reasons.

That newbies don't blow off their faces.

Edit: I should add the fight against ridiculous taxation and any type of ban, but thats a given and wanted to stay on topic.

Brandon, I would point out that you are doing exactly the same thing as you are accusing others of. (and will never alter your opinions regardless of what others might suggest)

TJ, the only thing I'm trying to portray is a general lack of helpfulness. A lot of people come here searching for advice and, sometimes, are met with ridicule. I wanted to make this more apparent so we can better peoples' lives. The reason I joined ECF was to become educated with vaping and to help others free themselves of cigarettes.

Guys, its been a pleasure talking with some of you, and I hope to talk to you again. I am so out of this thread.

And that's a huge part of the point I made the other day about the general opinion from people outside of ECF. I've ran into quite a few people who have come to ECF and left because they are ridiculed by the clique because they don't vape the same way.

As luck would have it the Atty is on a evod mega. And several people went to help.
I even found out for him the battery only rubs at 3.7 and has short protection so it is not trying to fully power the dripper.

But there's no excuse for this guy

    www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/not-advisable/667275-next-big-thing-youtube.html

Bragging about how far he has come as a vapor, .15 on an efest. People are trying to help but doesn't really seem to care. Instead of upping the R wants to know the best battery for the build.

If you fell like being associated with this crowd more power to you. I'm personally not going to sit next to these people on the couch

Amusingly there is another forum that has a section dedicated to people moaning about ECF. All day long the same people over and over with how much they hate it here and why.
Wanna talk attys? Nope ECF sucks, did you see that new mod, nope the ECF mods suck..

I feel better off knowing those people are somewhere else anyways. People come in trying to show or think rules don't apply then can't stand it when they get attacked.

Very few posts, if any at all start out " hey guys I'm running this super low setup and I was wondering is this safe? are my batteries OK?
Nope always guns blazing, look at me look at me the shop set me up so I can haz clowds.

And I will call you out, when someone shows up looking for help or ready to learn the list of vets offering advice in their thread is pretty big.

    But
You come through the door thinking your all that and know everything cause you saw it on YouTube you just painted a target on your forehead
