stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
I was very lucky..i started vaping as the current generation of gear was coming to market. I read everything everyone liked and didn't like about mods and atty's..then watched a million videos..ended up with a dozen Atty and dozen mods (all shopping was for 2 people).. Basically pico with. Griffin 22 with 2 mechs &2 dripping attys ..as my chipped items die i will go straight to mechs. I have saved a pretty decent amount and will continue to do so... I am a bit of an oddball as i don't want more gear. I vape 1 recipe every day but have about 5 to work with if needed. My point is...you will know when you are just right with your vape journey.....until then.....No Guilt ;)

A year ago, this very month, I started vaping and quit smoking (I was a 2pad smoker and just took about a week or so to stop)

Now I find my self with 5 Provape Radius (there were 6 but I was robbed in march), a Procyon, an Admiral mech and a Boxer BF, and several attys.

No way I can tell you to stop!

Buying vaping gear is part of the vaping ride.

Cigs are not as expensive here so I can't argue that I'm saving money, but my wife hasn't complained (ok she has but little)

So keep on making your collection bigger and enjoy the ride

And if it fails, no B&M vape shop open, you don't have a backup and run down to the store for a pack of stinkies late at night....

I have many mods.. mainly to accessorize :)

Current mod inventory:

Eleaf Aster.. my main mod for out and about. Single battery I use that more than any other mods.

Cloupor Mini+ is what my Aster replaced. Almost lost it due to juice getting in the electronics, but took it apart and fixed it.

Releaux RX200 for my at home mod so I don't have to keep swapping batteries.

Smok Guardian III when I am out on the town, especially with my fedora

Sigeli 100W my old and faithful reliable.. barely use that, but make sure it works from time to time.

Nemesis and caravela are my backup mechanicals and to play around with.

Vamo V7 when I want that retro look. I had a Vamo V3 and V5.. both worked fine, both passed it forward.

Damaged history:
Cloupor mini 30w.. got juice in the 510, shorted electricals.
Cloupor TC80 was my main mod, got juice in the 510 and shorted electricals
Cuboid Was my main mod... got juice in the 510 and shorted electricals. Also, it's 510 was defective when I opened it up to try and dry it out.
Tugboat mechanical+dripper hybrid clone... saw how dangerous it was and was too scared to use it. Used the dripper a few times.

There were more that came and went due to trading/selling... MANY atomizers going all the way back to the stardust/CE5/Protank days... all in a box. I'm pretty happy with my current setups, Only thing I am looking to buy now, is a good two battery mod for out and about., some new batteries (EVERY 18650 I have is over a year old, and don't hold as much charge as they used to.. they've all been rewrapped several times), and a good looking black atomizer for the Guardian III (the press-fit deck on the griffin keeps coming out. I have a Smok spirals that should arrive tomorrow as a replacement.. single coil, but I might try parallel instead.

Ok.. like you guys needed to know that... dunno why I felt compelled to say all of this. :)

Yea, I think I'm just about there except for a dual battery mod. I too have settled on one vape recipe.. but I do try others to get rid of the vape tongue from time to time. my favorite flavor, my wife doesn't like (she doesn't vape/smoke, and has a very sensitive nose), so I had to find a good alternate.

Favorite juice flavors I've settled on (I mix my own):
%5 LorAnns Caramel %5 Capella's bavarian Cream %5 Capella's vanilla custard (this is the one my wife doesn't like)

%8 Loranns Guava, %5 Capella's Vanilla Custard, %2 LorAnns Strawberry Kiwi. (what I am vaping on right now)

Also, one question, have you had problems with your Griffin Leaking? I absolutely loved that atomizer, but it got to where it got REAL loose...found out there is a press-fit connection that came loose causing the juice flow to spin freely... and leak slightly. Only way I could fix it is to bang down on the build deck.. which doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

They why did you say "why is it so hard to just buy one mod and tank ?"

I only bought one of each , the other mod and tank I got for free like I said. None of them has failed yet and I do believe one of each is more than enough , THE ONLY thing a second mod would be good for is charging it while using the other one so you never run out of battery. For casual vapers one mod and tank is enough. The moment you find something you really like , just stay there, no point upgrading till it fails.

There will always be something better and more stuff coming out , SO WHAT though ? All people should care about is if their gear prevents them from smoking and gives them a good experience , people who care too much about looks , how big their clouds are , tiny little details that don't matter are just as bad as smokers in my book.

Okay I'll stop me now. (5 x GX2/4's in gold, green (on the way), blue, purple and read (on the way) is enough, for now! Oh I'll likely for sure pick up a dripper atty since getting into DIY juice but not much else. Have enough juice supplies for a year or more at the moment. Only 1/2L 100mg/100ml so may stock up more just in case da chit hits da fan regulation wise...

Anyone who vapes instead of smoking and doesn't believe it's prudent to have a backup is a fool in my book.

That may be a bit extreme, but I'd also recommend having more than one mod - for that very reason.

The first time that one fails, as many of us have painfully experienced, you'll get the picture.

Two is good. It's a nice, even number too.

Why do you care what other people do?

I took mine completely apart..replaced orings..you may have to use thicker orings to really get the juice flow to behave.

Unfortunately, this is not an o-ring issue. I did have to replace some o-rings mid-life of the tank, but then this totally different problem occurred. I might look at it another time, but I have already gotten a different tank for the E-pipe. It doesn't hold as much juice, and I went down to single coil, but I'm still satisfied.

I have multiple set ups because I like different flavor juices. For some reason I was able to smoke the same cigarettes every day for years but with vaping I like the variety. Maybe just because I can. That's the fun of it.
Artic Ice Menthol
Peach
Tripoli Turkish Tobacco
Bourbon Cannoli
Peanut butter Cup
Vanilla Coffee
6 going on at once is a little excessive. I will admit that. But every time I store away set ups and get down to just 3 set ups in rotation.... slowly I bring the others back out again.

Only 6. Or is that 6 different ones per day everyday.

Cosmic_Glaze I think you are totally moderate! At the moment, I have set-ups (mod and tank) loaded with:

Blue Unicorn (like Unicorn Milk, but with blueberry)
Italian Lemon-Cream Soda
Castle Long clone
Commander Pearry
Sugar Rush (buttery sugar cookie thing)
Placid clone
Buttermint
Sunshine (pineapple coconut cream)
Breakfast (toast and strawberry jam flavor)
Chateau Haute (a coconut-forward mix)
Vanilla Custard
Rhubarb and custard
Lemon Coconut Cream Cake
Creme Brulee

all diy, and I've vaped them all today! I always start with Buttermint with my morning coffee, and usually end the day with Castle Long or Chateau Haute, or a combo of the two, which is what I'm having right now with a glass of wine. Cheers from another freaky flavor chaser! :toast:

Um... I just purchased a titanium Kabuki..... I'm kind of ashamed to admit it even, but I just had 9 titanium posts shoved into my gums to replace my teeth roots and that was expensive as all get out, so when I saw they had it in TITANIUM???

I'm afraid I rewarded myself by purchasing something in titanium to reward myself for not smoking through all that agony, and compared to the TEEF? It was inexpensive.... but only COMPARITIVELY.

I think it may've been the single most expensive item I've purchased for vaping, though.... OMG. Well, the nic was that expensive, so maybe the Kabuki will last just as long????

I think I'm going to LOVE it, and I have a silver Tesla Steampunk for it to sit on.

That said, I'm also so EXCITED, LOL. And, it IS a new month.... To be fair. Oh, I could've waited for labor day etc., etc., but I'm going back to work soon, I want something bigger than the Nautilus and also HOW AWESOME. I really can't return to sneak smoking at work now, I have ZERO excuse.

:offtopic: My son had titanium put in him, he's 13 and now obsessed with it, so this x-mas will be costly!
