Anyone who pulls up to a vehicle and starts screaming that they're gonna call the cops on them must have some sort of death wish! I mean one of these days they're gonna pull up next to a vehicle that's packed with members of a "club for shady and bad folks" and they're gonna regret it for the rest of their lives......and that's if they live thru the reaction of the bad folks......just sayin!
I've reported several drunk drivers but I've never even came close considered pulling a stupid stunt like that!

Agreed. Some of the neighbourhoods around where I live, that kinda idiocy will get you shot with a quickness.

I've never had an issue with cops, and vape openly pretty much anywhere smoking is not prohibited. Charlotte is lucky, though, that we have so many vape shops in the area it's hard for people not to have at least a knowledge about them. Hell, some of our shops even have billboards and advertisements!

Yea, actually we met an older couple a few weeks ago at the same restaurant that had just bought an ecig and they both came out to our vape meet. :) It's great to meet fellow vapers. The word is spreading really fast in our area so it is very important to vape in front of people and let them see it, ask their questions, get used to the whole process :) I even have business cards I give people about our vape meets. LOL. Hey, when you get my age, you really don't care what they think of you. ha!
There's good and bad to living in Florida. The number of vapors and B & M's is one of the REALLY good things. I love vaping on the walk from the car to the front door of Publix. Always get some second glances and sometimes a fellow vapor smiles and holds up their gear. Have had quite a few conversations while the ice cream is melting lol

Yeah, my area in Florida has a lot of vapers, can't say I ever gave it a second thought.

LOL. Neener!

When I was vaping my 501 with the smokers I never felt odd. I spent more time edu-makating people about vaping.

Years later, I'm only running an Ego Twist with a T2 on the sidewalk outside the building in the smoker's area but still feel self-concious about it. Most people ignore it as people tend to do with most things in the city but I can't help feeling a little paranoid about the fact it looks like paraphernalia. My employer is pretty conservative but I've heard there's a couple of people vaping at another location indoors! I wish....

I know it's difficult for a topic like this, but please watch the drug references- gotta get creative.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ation/255864-why-we-dont-allow-drug-talk.html

Nicotine is a ''drug''.i think the word, ''drug'' used too describe nicotine is a misnomer .

A misnomer is a word or term that suggests a meaning that is known to be wrong. Misnomers often arise because the thing named received its name long before its true nature was known. A misnomer may also be simply a word that is used incorrectly or misleadingly

I just tell people that its an advanced e-cig, (eGo twist, T2 Tank, probably same as yours) and once the words e-cig are out there, most of the weird looks go away. Then the questions about vaping start. Does it work? is it expensive? really, you haven't had a cigarette since? Wow, maybe I should look into that.

I live in a small town in middle Tennessee and there are 3 B&Ms in the 3 small towns around me in addition to at least 2 convenience stores that sell batteries, tanks and e-liquid on the side. I see people all the time wearing their e-cigs on their lanyards and occasionally see a vaper while driving down the road. I have been told that a lot of the police officers are using them as well. It seems to be everywhere here and that's a great thing!

They confiscated my batteries and atomizers because they "resembled paraphernalia"

It happens man, win some, lose some.
NO...it does not "happen" unless you LET it and you do not win some/lose some grrrrrr

i am appalled that your perfectly legal property was taken without proof...i never would have thought that this would be a concern in a million years.....and would NOT fly with me.
I would talk them to death (politely), ask for a supervisor, that my liquid be given a "bad stuff" test, and follow them to the station to sort it out if need be.

there is no law against:
batteries...usb rechargables OR "flashlight batteries"
electronics
tubes of metal
something that holds e-liquid - containers/tanks/drip tips/cartomizers (juice delivery devices)
nicotine liquid, food flavorings, PG/VG

i would sooner disassemble it all down to individual parts and change all of my day's plans before letting them illegally take MY personal LEGAL property.
that is a ridiculously clear example of "guilty until proven innocent"

sorry but i am mad about this and ppl allowing it to happen just because it is a non civilian doing the taking...you wouldn't let some random person take your stuff?

stand up for yourselves people!

I have had a few people look at me a little weird, but for the most part I have come across quite a few vapors in my area and when they see me vaping they kinda do a cheers type gesture as I'm vaping. It's kinda funny. I know my husband was vaping and an officer kinda looked at him funny, but didn't say anything to him or did anything. I find this situation that you went through rather funny that someone freaked out like that.
