I don't want to be the Negative Nellie, but let me address a bit of what you wrote:

Leaford will find a working computer, eventually.

He's logged in here numerous times. He's been at a 'working computer', he just didn't post anything, here or elsewhere.

NYC will finish hand-counting/sorting/shipping/whatever her job is that's probably using all her time

She's already stated she doesn't handle the stock. She's not hand-counting anything. And it takes a matter of two minutes to check in here and make a quick post reassuring her customers. Also, she's logged into ECF as well, but didn't make any posts.


I'm done complaining about it, but I don't have my head in the sand thinking "oh, everything's normal, the people who used to post here 20 times a day completely ignore this place now, but that's just because they're busy".


Now back to ignoring this thread.

Thanks. I'm doing better. Fell right to sleep and woke up alive, yay! Came home from work and the power was out in the area, so it's only been back for less than an hour.

This might sound funny, but I was genuinely concerned for your safety when I saw damage in California this morning.

There was damage here? Guess I need to turn the TV on. I heard nothing while at work and didn't get a chance when I got home. The power issue was due to transformers dying - was out from 3:30 to 7:30, and I got home at 5:00. Had just gathered all the candles and flashlights getting ready for a long boring forum-less night, then it was restored.
I'm inland so won't be affected by tsunami.

I read this in your linky-thing: Near Crescent City, a man swept into the water while taking photographs in an evacuated area is still missing.
While I feel bad for his family, this is classic contender for a Darwin Award.

The further down the coast it goes, the less damaging it gets. I'm down towards LA so boats are getting knocked around in the harbors from the surges, but nothing too serious.

As an amateur photographer who's put himself in situations I probably shouldn't have been in, I sympathize with him, but yeah, not too smart.

It amazes me that an event 5500 miles away is knocking boats around in the harbors of LA. Just astounding.
