It's getting frustrating having my words twisted. I keep trying to clarify, but those same two keep twisting it back again. I just have to let it go and hope others understood what I was saying.

I'm hungry. Get in the kitchen Frick and fix sumptin' for me. And I agree with redemp.. dark red is much better, hot pink doesn't go with your complexion.

I'm tuned into the news waiting for news of a meltdown in Japan. Scary stuff going on right now...

I don't have cable, I'm so out of the loop on things... of course it would help if I read news sites instead of ignoring this thread.
What I did see looked pretty bad, It's hard to watch so much suffering

We went out for a day trip, then out to dinner. Just finished watching SNL and now catching up on here.

I knew what you meant, but I don't think they got that you were talking about what she wrote in the riv4l thread. I guess I'm getting kind of down about all the crap that's gone down around here the last few days. Kind of takes the fun out of it. I feel like I care more about the company's reputation than they do.

I PM'd nyc last night; she read it at 2:55 p.m. but has not answered me, even though I made a point of asking her to please let me know if she received my message. I asked her to please help me understand why she isn't posting here anymore. And Leaford's few posts today didn't make me feel better for some reason. I know it's stupid to feel this way, but I do. But I'll get over myself and get back to normal soon.

I was just ready the others sub-forum and it seems like the favorite place for Bloog complaints, I think I saw 3 different ones asking about their products while sneaking in digs at Bloog, makes since to me they would have a better chance of getting their issues addressed here, maybe I'm wrong. oh well

Thanks crbrown. Well, there is history with Leaford at V4L, and I'm not sure, but I would guess that the owners of V4L are not thrilled about this new competition from Bloog. So even though it's probably ridiculous to even entertain the thought, whenever I see people who only recently signed up for the forum and who almost immediately come to this sub-forum to complain about Bloog, and then go over to that forum to bad-mouth Bloog by name, I can't help but have it in the back of my mind that they may be "plants" from that riv4l.

It would just never occur to me to go over to a new (to me) vendor's forum and start telling my long tale of how I did or didn't like their product. I guess my mother's lesson still rings in my ears, If you don't have anything nice to say....you know the rest. Don't get me wrong, I've been complaining here lately, but not before I established some kind of relationship with the company and with others on this forum. To do so right off the bat would seem to me like going to someone's open house party that I had never met before and start telling them everything I didn't like about them based on my very first impression. And if I didn't plan on ever seeing them again, I wouldn't tell them that and stomp out the door.

So, I don't get why anyone would continue posting long, boringly-detailed bad review messages here after assuring us they never intend to buy Bloog again. Why would anyone with no further interest in the product put that much effort into denouncing it and the company? Go put it in a review forum if they must, but why in this sub-forum? And why mention it in another vendor's forum? Not saying they don't have the right, just saying I can't fathom doing it myself.

The irony is that if they looked at older posts from the other forum from just a few months ago, they would see lots of threads from regular customers complaining about that companies' growing pains, poor customer service, the inconsistency in product quality, out-of stock issues, etc., as well as posts from the owner asking for patience during their "growing pains".

And this comment from me in another thread:

I guess I am sensitive to this because I have read other forums where anytime someone posted something that even hinted at not LOVING everything about the sub-forum products, the poster would get pounced on by "devotees" of the product. I just hope we don't develop that kind of culture on this sub-forum. I enjoy civil and free exchanges of information and concerns.

This was referring to that other forum they are now so enthralled with. I agree it has settled down over there now, but just read some of their posts from last year and this stuff here today will seem tame in comparison. I'm hoping if the Bloog company representatives don't let all the wheels come off this place, our sub-forum will mature to the point where they are now. But the other place was no picnic for quite a while.

Sorry, I've been rambling much too much, and not ignoring enough.

The vendors sub forums are typically full of fanboy/girl behavior, as someone else mentioned today. I've seen unhappy customers over there get jumped on too. BUT in the midst of the nonsense, a cs rep (or two or three) or a cs supervisor or even the owner will show up & promise to fix the situation. IMO this is the real downfall here. I've had issues with the riv4ls that made me so mad but at the end of the day they did take care of each and every issue. At the time it seemed to take forever, but looking back they sent me replacements, and are readily available to help here, via live chat on their site, via trouble tickets, emails & phone (yes, I have used all these ways to contact them, lol). I can only imagine how different the response would have been to a "this is what a burning cartomizer looks like thread". And that is why their customers keep coming back. Their product is not superior, but their cs is. I love my bloog. I'm not knocking the product. It the rest of this thats frustrating and disheartening.

and now back to your regularly scheduled programming.....

beachpuff, I couldn't agree with you more about the lack of response we are getting from Bloog representatives and owners. It has saddened me to see how poorly things are being handled by them lately on this sub-forum. I have seen the other company have just as many issues with the cs, as well as many other problems, but people who work for that company are all over it on the sub-forum, and that is sorely lacking here. It's incomprehensible to me, and that is what I have been complaining about this week, so no disagreement with you about that at all.

That's why I'm getting discouraged. I hate seeing how much damage is being done to the company's reputation because of the lack of a consistently reliable and helpful forum presence here. At least I can see some efforts on their part to improve CS. It's still lacking, but I do think they are trying to work on that. And we're beginning to see more positive comments about how well Chris is taking care of people who have had problems, much like your issues with the riv4l were handled. That needs to happen more consistently, and if it doesn't get better after a reasonable amount of time I will be complaining about that too.

However, in my opinion, the lack of consistent responses on the sub-forum is inexcusable and more damaging than they will ever know. If the regulars here are getting upset, I can only imagine how many potential new customers they have lost because of it. I fear that continuing to be silent is only making matters worse, is digging a deeper hole, and that the longer the silence goes on, the worse the damage will be. I want Bloog to be successful, and it’s frustrating to me that despite many of us trying to warn them of the danger, they continue to ignore the warnings. I’m glad Leaford has surfaced, but it’s not enough since he can’t really help with the cs issues. I just don't get what they can be thinking.

Anyway, I apologize, this doesn't really belong in this thread. I just didn't think it was safe to post this anywhere else. I'll go back to ignoring now, I promise.

Yeah, it's a sure fire way of being welcomed with open arms and a cold drink.

Thanks for the support again Slim, cr & beach. I spend time over there too, since it is where I originally started, and it hurt to see me being put down as the company censor by both of them, and it's not like that at all. Now we are all being labeled as mean-spirited, argumentative & this sub-forum is a scary place. Shudda just kept my mouth shut, and will from now on. (sigh)

Sorry you didn't get a reply Slim. It is worrisome. You've tried in a non-accusatory way to get her attention, and she just keeps making things worse. I'll give Leaford the benefit of the doubt, at least he admitted he dropped the ball. We'll see what happens next.
